r there any other way to reach sd card other than installing file manager? if file manager needed, which one is good to use? i recently downloaded many files n decided to sort it out

I would recommend you to use ASTRO Cloud & File Manager. i used it previously and it is really convenient for me to see which files I have in my mobile and it is really organized.

I use ES File Explorer

you can also:
1. remove the sd card and use it with a microsd card reader
2. plug in a micro usb cable from your phone to the comp

For me , i recommended use Es File Explorer.

make sure to root yr phone n reboot . is yr phone 11.1.1 n updated to latest version?

im very new at this. my phone is up to date but not 11.1.1 version. do i need to try update till it is latest version? do u think its the cause the swapping didnt work? my phone is a little weird.

You can try updating ti since your phone is a little weird. It happen sometimes when the phone needs updates.

thats ok. we'll try with this version.

-backup yr phone first.
-install Framaroot app in yr phone.
-install SuperSU with choosing the Gandalf exploit in its option.

once installation complete u can reboot yr phone n SuperSU will come out means u r rooted.
u can unroot back using Framaroot coz yr warranty'll void with rooting.

once finish how about the swapping? will it work?

for that, install root explorer n in \system\etc\ u hve

-vold.fstab
-vold.emmc.fstab

set the permissions as rw-r-r. view vold.fstab using text editor

-dev_mount sdcard /storage/sdcard0 auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host - change to sdcard1
-dev_mount emmc /storage/sdcard1 21 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host/mmc0 - change to sdcard0

try this first.
