No... you still need to root your device before attempting to install Play Store... Google Play Store needs to be installed as a system app, and hence the need of root access...
i used that method b4, but i wanna try if there is apk without manually copy it to system apps and changing each app permission manually.
Did u use the google apk from the link I posted? I am curious whether it works without rooting actually.

Storekini should be giving to those who does not own the phone. Seems like the previous 3 winners are already the Nokia X owners. Anyway congratulations on winning phone.

Yup, totally agree with you. Those who don't have a Nokia X probably doesn't have enough hands on experience to provide useful information on Nokia X. That's why those who have Nokia X may have a higher chance in this contest. Anyways, congratulations to Alam fb. Hope that those who doesn't have Nokia X will work hard and win in this contest too.
From what i see, the 3 winner so far are top posting on this thread
this result just now i printscreen

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ May 5 2014, 08:45 PM)
either 1. download 1mobile via nokia store then download whatsapp 2. download the apk directly from whatsapp.com, then transfer it to your memory card and install it via file manager
I used the no.1 method, working fine so far installing and registering the number, but whatsapp will give error "Sorry, your divece is not supported". BTW my phone are rooted
Today, customer service personnel from Product Division called and told me that they are passing my complaint to Customer Recovery and Repair Division and the customer service personnel of that division will contact me.
I am quite tired of Nokia now.
just tell them to change the call received UI, then everything will be fine , because my phone having this issue also but after i remove the screen protector, b4 i never notice this happen.
