Whatever you said, folk. ( you do sound like a .......) It's ok. I have tried those method you recommended when I was having the issue with my S2 years ago. (Thank God, there are many smart guys out there). It just doesn't work.

And for you information, there was a post before mine regarding the issue ( can't you see it ). I post mine because of "resonance" to his. Many of the forumers don't face the problem doesn't mean everyone phone is fine.

Guys, how to disable shutter sound?

No matter how many CSC i've changed, the Shutter Sound option in camera will still remain as on no matter how hard I try turning it OFF

CSC option works for me. Another workaround is set the phone to vibrate or silent when turn on camera. You can do this automagically with apps like Tasker.

My phone is silent 24/7, its just that my ROM comes with French CSC and I think its to comply EU regulations to have shutter sound.
I've managed to rename all my shutter/video/AF related sounds to have a .bak extension (equivalent to deleting it) and my shutter sound and video sound is gone, just that the AF beep and AF failure sound.

Currently i'm still using Jelly Bean 4.3 on my note 3. I tried going to Settings>General>About Device>Software Update to try to update my phone, however, it stated that my phone is currently using the latest firmware.

I have also tried installing Samsung Kies 3, however, it has also state that I am currently using the latest firmware.

Previously i have tried rooting my phone before, but i was afraid that i would trip the Knox due to the latest update as my phone was still quite new during that time. So, i went and unroot it.
