Hi Bro and sister,
Just wanna to confirm. I understand that the cash back period is based on calendar month from 1st until 30th of the month. I have used up my RM50 cash back portion for May by spending more than 1000 this month. But, I just swipe my card today 31 May with RM200. If today transaction posted on 1 June, will it consider as June cash back portion or May due to transaction date?

June portion

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 1 2014, 09:41 AM)
I will update tmr as I only max my rebate quota yday.
*
Just call the center and inquired on this. They said the cash back are calculated based on transaction month. Meaning that if a month got 31 days, it will be 31 days.
I not just call them on this, on oversea ATM withdrawal also as I'm going for assignment over there.
Just keep finger crossed and wait till tomorrow when the statement are out.

He is asking about which month's cash back quota. Anyway, I re-read his question and realize that he already used the month's quota. So in this case, he will not get further cashback. I have edited my earlier answer.

That rm200 I'm pretty sure will be on May's, so no more 5% CB but still got TP, so not total lost.
Hope that card center's officer not misleading me, else I will have "total lost" sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif
BTW, if what the merchant told me is right, AMEX are charging 4.5% from every rm1 spent, so Maybank only giving 0.5% of CB to us hmm.gif

Cash back is based transaction's date, so he will not get further cash back as he already used up May's quota. But yeah, this is a novel question  biggrin.gif

I'm sure MBB won't play grey areas like HLB and PBB thumbup.gif
This is why I've been keeping Maybank's account for 22 years.

Hi bro I recall ppl posting before that we can "increase" the CL by using cdm to bankin money to the cc right? How much is the max amount? My current CL is only 5k
*
Increasing CL are not easy, unless you apply for it next year and have good paying records. I until today never ever requested increasing CL, but banks increase for me every year.
You need the BE(sure pass) for bank to increase the CL. Else FD may help also.

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Jun 1 2014, 08:48 PM)
whatever % amex charges, maybank is not getting all, they need to pay to AMEX as well  brows.gif
*
That's right, but between 3 of them, AMEX are the highest while Master/Visa merchant can nego for a good rate, from 0.5(very unlikely)-3% hmm.gif

I pumped Shell petrol on 31 May 2014, today i can see the rebate included.
As mentioned, it is depend how fast the Merchant.
Normally, Shell second day already appear in M2U, while Petron in one more day

I swiped my card on 31/May night time at The Curve, and it is classified as May's transaction biggrin.gif

My wife paid our UniFi and TNB bill via MB2U on 31/May and also qualified for May's rebates rclxms.gif

MBB are quite good on this, follow the transaction date.
Their posting date are always 1 day after I did a transaction no matter in weekdays or weekends.

As said, the photo tell the thousand stories.
Transaction done on 31st of May while it never show on the 1st of June till 23:59 just before I sleep. But show on 2nd.
And the CB by MBB are May's transaction will be bank in on the same month as 1st month I hit rm1000 on weekend and I got the CB on that month also. Every merchant shall do a settlement from their CC machine so most of the time it will be posted on the same day.
And from the photo also you can see all the transaction date are same as posting date. I never encounter different date so far on MBB cards unlike HLB can drag up to 9 days.
And as confirmed by the officer, the CB are calculated based on transaction date.

petrol transaction delay is very norm actually...

this i not very agree..
it depend on posting date..
the cashback fall on which month is depend on posting date.
perhaps you could try to call again CS, you might get different answer this time  whistling.gif

Well, called them already on this yesterday and I won't be wasting my time to call them again.
They already said it clearly and I listened clearly.
BTW, how many times a year that will fall on this situation? Last day on Saturday? 2014 only has 1 day whistling.gif
And I just dig my 3 months back statement, which is quite funny. Master's transaction some sure will posting date late by 1 day and my AMEX's transaction will be transaction and posted on the same day, no matter how late I did that transaction.

I think so far most posting & transaction dates fall on same day except petrol's but it this case i think it's still transaction date that covers within may's rebate

AMEX looks like 100% fast, post on the same date you swipe it while Master takes a day or 2.
