Visa/Mastercard charged administrative cost of 1% or at such other rate determined by maybank.
Amex charged 2.5% conversion fees.
Based on my last month and this month transaction. It's more than 2% for MBB2 VISA

With Amex 5x treats points, pay with amex overseas still earns more than Visa/Mastercard.
Amex is slightly higher

Amex do have a fixed 2.5% conversion rate and with 5 x treatspoint worth 2%.
But MBB2 Visa/Mastercard administrator cost is atleast 1% or determined by maybank with 1 x treatspoint worth 0.4%

I will try make amex and visa on the same amount with overseas transaction to see which one worth to use.

Received SMS on my CL increase approved, but later ask the CS, it was disapproved due to High Commitment..

with basic 4.5k, but stuck with 6k CL >.< and found out that, i am way over the limit , but it is still usable, kind of not bad right?

Therefore, from the above, my Maybank AMEX Reserve overseas conversion rate is less than 2%, which is kind of low copared to my other Visa Infinite cards.


I am wondering are the rate for premier AMEX same as MBB2 AMEX..
I still see some people reporting the exchange rate are high for MBB2 AMEX compare to MBB2 visa/master

Guys, about two weeks after received my cards, I got call from a woman, claiming that she's from this Takaful Amanaha something, calling to inform me about one insurance package that comes with my MBB2 Cards.

Weirdly, the call comes from a mobile no. 014-xxxx206, and she asked for my details. Then, she has the last four digits of my Visa, to verify that I have received the card. But it got more wierd that she asked me to give her the whole nos., for payment, which is about RM300 per year. I purposely gave a wrong no. , but she has been calling me since then, I didn't pick up any of her calls.

So is this a normal legitimate procedure, or is this a scam? I am not convince since the call made from a monbile no, and I've been trying to google for the no. but nothing much. Is anyone here got the call from any insurance company related to the MBB2 Cards?

Was wondering whether does an annual income of 24k able to apply for this card? Anyone got lubang?

I have a question, not sure if right thread but I don't know where else to ask? If I want to use Maybank2u online to pay bills, I need to register a TAC. How can I register it? Must I fill in that form they said or can I do it through ATM? So sorry. I'm helping someone ask this, I'm just a school student. Thanks.
