Compatible Chipset:
G31 and above (some 965chipset able to do so), X38 and X48 most of the user say cannot

It is quite simple but i am still wondering the stability of the cpu. So far no shutsdown or bsod. FATAL ERROR on Prime95 when i select maximum heat test and blend test (Tests required ram). but small fft test ran for 5 hours no problem.

:UPDATE:
Reseat ram and cpu, able to pass 1st test, not like previous 1st test fatal error

:MORE UPDATE:
2nd test CPU 3 fail, [on max heat test], need to run small FFT test for the last time to chesck whether is CPU fail or RAM fail or MOBO fail

:3rd update:
Tested small fft test for 15hours. No errors. I will run mem test again and bump the ram voltage.


:4th update:
Motherboard memory controller is the culpurit. CPU is fine.

from one of the lyn seller. too bad he sold out both cpus already. u can try to find at taobao or ebay. Recently i saw 1 guy is selling used x5450 with modded stick at a price of rm190 only cause he upgraded his rig recently.

ouch.
i just got an e8400, paid, received. 30 minutes after testing the said cpu, then i only know the existence of this xeon 771 mod. i wish i pulled the trigger later.

haha just sell back to seller and pay him back some $$
