Just now after refilling the empty with distilled water so start off the engine and use OBD scan tool to monitoring the engine temp
Engine temp reaching 96c yet the fan din spin
So it started to spin when hitting 101c
After the fan spin for few times, i did inspect the suspect area for leaking
To my surprise i dont find any of it
Plus I don’t see any bubbles in the radiator so is a good sign
My friend suggested me do drive out nearby neighbourhood as maybe no pressure build up in the engine so can’t cause the leaking
Tomorrow will try again

See the engine oil cap got teh tarik colour or not..

Sometimes, there won't be visible leaks until you pressurise the system. Better send to pomen for checking as they will pump in pressure to rhe system, then check for leaks.
*
I do check on engine oil cap and dipstick for the milky residue and good news it doesnt have it in my engine oil

Guess i need to find some workshop with equip with below pressure tester to further checking

if u haven't service or change radiator part, maybe the top radiator end tank cover part crack.
mostly that's the problem with plastic radiator end tank cover. its very fine crack and vapor escape from there.
it got crack due of age, hot and cold.
*
upper radiator tank cover changed & serviced back in end 2019, from there on i have been using honda type-2 coolant till now
only recent incident which happen in early april causing series of overheating issue.

Hi guys,

so i've been away for the whole week on a road trip earlier this month. needless to say, i have parked the car outside most of the time with no shades, and driven far (and perhaps trailing lorries, trucks, what not).

I only notice today the headlights are peeling quite serious, previously i just see a spot or so. the symptom itself as you can see from the pic. good thing is, i just use my one finger to swipe and it all peel off easily, with no further area damages, just the part where it stuck out.

for those that remember, I'm not too sentimental about cars, but the current plan is to have the option to keep this car for another 4-5 years, which makes it around 15 years old by then. its still a good car, but i could upgrade anytime before 4-5 years but would like to keep the option open.

so, I've always like to keep my car in good condition. i waxed my car not for vanity but to protect the paint. though i want it to look good. my stance is I'm driving an old car, but i don't want an image where I'm driving and old, beat up car. at this stage, what should i do?

1. leave it as it is? I'm not sure how it will look 5 years down the road.
2. i know from online and TMO FB group, so offer headlight restoration services, looks good, but with 5 years timeline, not sure if restore better or keep it this way better in the long run.
3. at this stage, i don't feel like buying a new headlight cover, i dunno the price but i presume definitely more than restoration and i don't need it to be that perfect. going aftermarket worries me as well coz I've seen very very bad headlight/cover on the road. i hate it.

if your headlight cover still clear looking then leave it as it is
change new headlight cover will cost RM330 which i did mine around end april this year, results was superb, better lighting cover on the road for the better view at night.

RM330 is after market right?
still clear, my only dilemma now is, if i leave it now, will it last 5 years. coz i don't want later 2 years later, i reach a point of no return and need to replace it.
i prefer restore than replace in this scenario.
*
Yes, 330 is aftermarket version.
if restore likely will cost you around 100~150 ..

101C max is not bad as car going on hill climb will generate more engine heat.

Actually, I think if on aircond the radiator should run cooler as both radiator and aircond fan will spin... If you turn off the aircond, only 1 fan which is the radiator fan will spin only.
*
Based on honda repair manual on fit/jazz/city that whenever temp hit above 93c both fan should run together even aircond not switching on

Most market selling are those simple diagnostics tools which have limited item to view such as vehicle speed, engine coolant temp out*, engine RPM etc.
only advance units can view AT temp, Fan switch status , engine coolant temp in and the list goes on ..
