What engine oil you used before 20k service? Same semi oil??

RM60 reach about 360-400km? Is this consider city drive or highway and City??
*
Yeah...which semi-syn oil did you use and are currently using now?
RM60 for 350-400km - combined driving?

I am using High Performance Fully Syn from Honda and managed to do a regular mileage of 330KM on city driving at RM50 worth of petrol.

Had a problem with my HC2013 today, arrived at the main gate of my home, my VSA light is on and I couldn't engage into had my gearbox locked from 'P' can't even shift down.
Had to unlock it manually from the shift-lock compartment. Could not even Turn on nor off for the VSA with the button at the right side as well.

Need to send my car in for inspection on the VSA light issue. Apparently, someone said it's the issue with the gearbox or the brakes?

Any owners encountered this before?

Have you changed your car horn before? If you had, chances are your car's horn relay fuse is blown. Just replace it.
*
Yes I did change my car horn with the relay. I remembered I did a long honking at a car in front of me. Probably that fused the relay.
Now you mentioned it, most likely the fuse relay is the culprit. But, I've already made an appointment to get the Honda Assist to tow my car tomorrow morning and I won't be in KL for the next few days. Should I cancel the Honda Assist appointment and I, myself deliver the car to my own accessory technician to replace it? probably save some time and costs there from Honda 3S.

Thrust - have you experienced this before as well?

Thanks for the tip!

Likewise, with the VSA turned off, and the fused relay causing the locked gearbox (unless I unlock it manually), would it be wise for me to drive until I replace the fuse with the off VSA? Not sure whether it's safe to drive with this current situation? tongue.gif

Anyone had their multimedia stereo unit changed to the touchscreen multimedia? I've had it upgraded to Caska unit. Been hearing that the Dynavin unit a better unit?
Just a thought and a question to find out more about your opinions on this.

Thrust - Had replaced my fused fuse plug to a higher amp from the standard 10 to 15, as the my new twin horn runs parallel to the VSA system.
My VSA is functioning now, the car horn is working and my gearbox is no longer locked.
Thank you for the tip! Save my time and money not sending my car in to Honda 3S to inspect & rectify the issue.

in my opinion, they won't. because one of the term and condition of the warranty is to send to authorized service center.

Have you tried cleaning the rear sensors? Perhaps some dust, mud or water droplets might affect the sensors?

Hi bro, newbie here, mind to teach me how to manually shift lock the gb? Haha thx broo 😝
*
On the left side of the gearbox, there's a little compartment which you need to pry open. When you managed to open it, use your car key and push it in and you should be able to manually unlock your "shift-lock". You can't lock it manually but you can unlock it.

Actually i would recommend you to stick with 10AMP fuse as manufacturer set that rating due to certain reason. 15AMP fuse allow higher current to flow through which might fry some electronic gizmo..

What twin horn are you using btw? I am using PIAA slender horn without relay.
*
Damn! this sounds scary enough, now I am thinking twice about switching out the 15AMP back to the standard 10AMP, but I am worried that it will fuse it again and having the same problem with the VSA and the gearbox locked.

I am using this Sports Horn from PIAA. It is very similar to this model.

I am unsure whether it has the relay or not? What's your ultimate advice, Thrust? rclxub.gif

Guess I blew it when I pressed the car horn too long day before yesterday...the technician said that the VSA is on the same wiring as the car horn??!?

i changed my CPC2 tyres after 4 years (100,000km). that's my first tyre change. even the tyre shop owner shocked. haha
i bought nexen n8000, size a bit bigger 195/55/r16

what i can say after 5000km is the tyre noise is considerably quieter, ride a bit comfortable since thicker sidewall, but the FC is a bit higher.
in term of grip/cornering i don't really know the difference..hehe
*
wider, thicker sidewall; higher fuel consumption.

Just a random question, wanting to get some feedback from HC owners.

Anyone owners using Honda's Fully Synthetic Engine Lubricant for their car?
I just serviced my car today, previously was on SL 5W40 (red); so today I decided to try out 0W-20 (green). I felt the acceleration response is much better on the (green) lubricant than the (red).

What y'all think? Thanks!

Sifus, wanna ask what brand of touch screen player is best for city 2012? will it void my warranty if i change it?

If yes, do honda SC selling this? And finally what's the price?

Thankiu.
*
Well, I am currently using the Caska Multimedia set for my car. Honda SC has the option as well, but very limited features compared to a third-party unit.

Apparently, Dynavin multimedia set is also another third-party option. Should be in the region of 1.6-2.3k for a touchscreen unit.

I'm quite keen on this too, and also probably add a buzzer "to sound" during locking and unlocking.

I tried the most expensive SL 5W40 (Fully-Synthetic) and so-called fuel saving SM 0W-20(Fully-Synthetic) engine oil.

For 5W40, the performance is good, but suck petrol like drinking water.
For 0W-20, the FC is improved, but very poor pick-up

Now I'm happly using SM 5W30 (Semi-Synthetic) with acceptable performance and FC, with the combination of Caltex RON 95
*
I've tried both as well. I do agree that the:
5W40 - good protection but the FC does drink up a lot
0W20 - FC did improve, felt much better acceleration but when the engine is hot especially in the afternoon, it's sluggish and driving 120km on the highway for a while, it tends to be sluggish.

Still the best is the semi-synthetic at 5W30. I am going to the SC tomorrow to change my oil (though I still have 3000k for my next servicing) to replace my 0W20 to the semi.

Thanks for your detail giving...  notworthy.gif

Done for 10k service today, I have voucher for 25% discount for engine oil (Fully) and oil filter, so asked from the staff how much different between Semi and Fully, he told me about RM15 after the Fully oil has discount, end up go again with the Fully.

Additionally, I have told him remove all the optional item.

Bill payment is about RM200, one of the item listed is alignment & balancing, may I ask is this optional or compulsory??  hmm.gif
*
"Wheel alignment and balancing" it's optional.
