Hello, Has anyone here installed rear dashcams in your Honda City? If yes would appreciate if you could share: 1.How did the installer route the wiring in your car? (Was it running through the middle of the car?) 2.Where did you mount the dashcam? Also bonus would appreciate if can share the dash cam model you installed pls I want to install the rear dashcam but not sure how much of work is needed for this car model. Also a bit worried the wireman will do a shoddy job Edit:I found this as sample but so many on Youtube » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by langstrasse: Sep 21 2023, 08:11 PM

Hi all,
One of my main beam lights (not high beam) is no longer lighting - is this something we can go directly to Honda spare parts shop and ask them to install?
Or need to buy from a spares reseller and go to a wireman to install?

Hello has anyone installed the door window visor like example below? May I know how it is installed and if drilling required and roughly how much you paid please? In this example it says no drilling required but not sure how good this design is unless it’s a clip type https://m.venttec.com.my/index.php?ws=showp...ucts_id=2061526

Hello, Anyone here has the model/type name and power rating for the bulb that’s used on the main front headlamp?
Is it Bosch H11 55W?

QUOTE(Thrust @ Aug 11 2024, 03:01 PM) Recently spent quite a sum to repair my car aircond system. Cooling coil gave way again after 7 years, so need to replace that and other wear and tear components such as the magnetic clutch, expansion valve and also the receiver drier. After doing the above, 1 month later, the blower motor and the resistor gave way and needs replacing also. I guess old car needs more repairing but to me still ok since it is problem that is easily identifiable and is expected time for replacemenet. Wow that’s a lot ! Mind sharing what were the first symptoms of trouble on your AC ? Mine goes off at very rare intervals (maybe once in 6 months) for about 15-20 mins then turns back on. Usually triggered when car is parked with air cond on. Thinking if I need to replace some parts now that it’s in it’s 12th year

QUOTE(Thrust @ Aug 11 2024, 04:00 PM) My aircond problem is expected. At first I knew the cooling coil has a leak as I can smell a weird chemical like odour in the car. Since the original cooling coil also gave in after years, I suppose it is time for the current coil to go. Since already doing an aircond job, mine as well replace other related parts as I don't want to visit the shop too often. The blower motor and resistor I thought can still prolong but it stopped after 3 months after I did the cooling coil and other related stuff. Replacing the blower motor and resistor is a lot easier and doesn't need much time. For your case, is it the aircond blows out hot air, then when you off and turn on, then only cool air starts blowing? If that is the case, it is highly likely related to a relay (I've replaced that too since it is cheap, around RM30 only). Thanks for sharing, yes makes sense to take advantage of workshop visits and do related scopes together. My issue is hot air that remains hot no matter what I do (switch AC on/off, switch fan on/off), then becomes cold by itself. Will get it checked

Hi all Has anyone here tried using Liqui Moly Klima Refresh to clean the air cond system on your Honda City? I’m having this musty damp cloth smell from air cond when switched on and I suspect it is bacteria or mold based on googling online. No smell when the air cond is not turned on. https://www.liquimolymalaysia.my/products/l...care-75ml-20000

QUOTE(Thrust @ Feb 14 2025, 05:45 AM) Your cooling coil is dirty already and started to be mouldy. Only way is to open up and clean the cooling coil. Thank you yes it does look like it, but looking online seems like not a simple operation as several other parts need to be dismantled to get to the cooling coil. Have you done anything like this so far on your city? I’m wondering if considering several items have to be dismantled if it’s better to just change the cooling coil or service other parts in the AC system.

QUOTE(Thrust @ Feb 14 2025, 08:40 AM) I will give u a detailed recommendation. Firstly, have you ever changed your colling coil before? Reason I asked is to gauge whether an aircond service is enough, or better off replacing the cooling coil. Normally cooling coil have a life span, in my case, each lasted exactly 7 years before it leaks refrigerant. Thanks - cooling coil never replaced and car is from 2011. No issues with cooling the cabin when air cond is turned on, just that it smells bad like damp cloth) As a minimum I think need to service or check the air cond system

QUOTE(Thrust @ Feb 14 2025, 03:38 PM) You can go and do an aircond service my removing the cooling coil and cleaning it.. When you do so, do inspect the condition of the coil as it is more than 10 years old and high chances it will leak refrigerant sooner or later.. Items to look out for is also the expansion valve and the receiver drier. Where are you staying? I can recommend you my trusted aircond man if you are around Old Klang Road / PJ area. Thank you yes will do that, I’m near OKR would appreciate recommendations please
