Anyone with an Intel NUC here and successfully managed to get HD-Audio to be passed through to their AV receivers? Did a bit of googling and the consensus is that it doesn't work if the NUC is running Windows?

Got a Minix Neo 8H recently but as we all know, that doesn't do HD audio which is a shame.

Thx in advance!

Sorry for not being completely clear..

I haven't exactly tried other player on the android devices..if anyone here can recommend some to try it out, that would be great.

However, that being said, I guess the main advantage of using XBMC is how "pretty" it is? biggrin.gif

I have a few Dune players at home that can do HD-Audio streaming. I just wanted something that's easy and pretty. biggrin.gif

Thanks again!

just curious...

do you mean both cases can't get hd audio via xbmc or can't get with any installed player incl native?

The mibox, for the lack of a better word, sucks. For hardware acceleration, u have to leave the "middle" option turned on. Even with that, only 20% of my mkv files play. The rest will just cause the mibox to reboot. If you turn off hardware acceleration, the movie stutters and the audio/video gets out of sync. Just for comparison sake, the same mkv files plays flawlessly without a hitch on the Minix Neo X8-H. Just looking at the mibox makes me wanna smash it against the wall.

yes, the mibox pro, I tried to switch the video acceleration to software decoding. I was able to watch youtube (video + audio) nut after I installed fusion and Mash up even with software acceleration on I lost all streaming video (including youtube) except audio.
Shall I wait for the "Kodi" version?
