reason I am asking is, it has wifi. easier to connect I assume out of the box.

And raspbmc's osmc is going to start a kickstarter with vero... which some people say is just rebadged cubox.

new RPI 2 is out! with quadcore Arm7 900MHz and 1GB RAM

how many of you RPi users are upgrading?
*
Unfortunately to keep the backward compatibility... Video core did not get upgraded... still the old core. I wonder for mediacenter... whether there is improvement or not.

Plus, no WIFI AC, no gigabit ethernet, and no usb 3.0.

I have a question... the Pi 2... does it use SD card slot or micro SD card slot or mini SD card slot? From pictures looks like mini SD card slot.

I got the old style Model B. Hence was not privy that the B+ had micro or mini SD. Micro is smaller then mini sized card right?

why do you need remotes?

TV remotes works just fine and out of box, straight from installing openelec or kodi...

CEC are supported for most TV remotes.

If your like me. I use a table top digital antenna to receive Dvb t2 signal.

If my pi is not shielded(inside a tin cookie box) or I am using the thinner hdmi cable. When I switch to digital tv signal, I do get interference to the extend that I cannot watch dvb t2 channels. So in that sense, a thicker shielded hdmi cable does have its use for my case.
