Good question. I also want to know how good XBMC runs on
- Minix X5
- Himedia Q series
- Rasberry Pi (some says it's a bit slow)

Looking to get one of these for my second TV, mainly playing from HDD (NAS maybe in future) and probably streaming.

None of the above
Get a QUAD Core box or tablet then you will see the difference

Been using XBMC for a month and it's awesome.
For my main TV I'm using a budget PC connect to my TV using HDMI. Sometimes I use ARC from my TV to my HTIB for better 5.1 sound to get cinema experience. There are many contents in HD and in 5.1 audio and of course new movie or TV show release are available almost up to date.
Mashup contents itself is more than sufficient. There are even 3D movies too and no issue with lagging even with 3D with my VIP10 Unifi.

I also use a Himedia Q5 for my bedroom TV to watch late night sport on Navi using WIFI. Totally satisfy.

Some say Himedia Q (dual core) are not good enough to run XBMC.
Does it have any problem on streaming (mashup, 1channel etc) on a Unifi VIP5?
I do read somewhere they have problem playing 1080P video from HDD.
Do you have any problem with video playback from HDD (720P/1080P)?
