hooray, got it! rclxm9.gif

that link was the first key. editing the urls.py is required. and ya, thanks to antonio banderas' automata!!
second key may not apply to u and others on xbmc. but if on kodi, u need to change under configure/advanced org.xbmc.xbmc to org.xbmc.kodi as that is the folder for correct identification.

as for path, my 16gb emmc android is handy, can take up to 5gb files, no need to go ext hdd/usb. i notice the proposed torrents are mostly <1gb with a few 4-5gb dd/dts5.1. i suppose they know >5gb, it will require >694KBps or >5.55 mbps speed on average dedicated to it.

and yes, it works like popcorn time, only with a more varied selection of sites and torrents.

long live TORR! tongue.gif

one more thing to do for kodi on androids, edit another file:

.kodi/addons/plugin.video.xbmctorrent/resources/site-packages/xbmctorrent/torrent2http.py

to edit anything, u need es file explorer on yr device as file manager can only read, can't see hidden files or edit. get es file explorer in playstore - it is one very impt app u must must hv on android. then click on tools, "show hidden files".

to edit that file after u open es file explorer, path:
home/android/data/org.xmbc.kodi/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.xbmctorrent/resources/site-packages/xbmcswift2/urls.py
open with editor, use remote control menu button to activate edit function, then edit and save.

it is easy if u know; confusing if u hv never used android or es file explorer. required use of both remote and mouse plus diff with pc mouse makes it tough for new users. so, practice, get used to it!

q5ii... kodi does work, no problem. u hv may installed a corrupted version or the migrated folder is corrupted. try again. remember to save a copy of .kodi or .xbmc folder on usb drive using file explorer. if not, it is a nightmare to reinstall all those repos, addons and plugins.
but... i fear q5ii may not be able to take xbmctorrent. i tried that, see my next post. but bbts livetv will work.

Try my luck again yesterday nite without edit anything, stream this movie -> Guardian Of The Galaxy in 720p using kickassTorrent, surprisingly the movie start playing after about 10 sec loading, smooth play for 30 mins until it crashed due to internal memory full. And this cause the xbmc app not able to launch again.

For Kodi, latest version 14.0 helix beta3 works perfectly on my q5ii with mediacodec acceleration turn off. But too bad xbmctorrent is down again- "error script failed!:xbmctorrent". Hmm..1 day can 1 day cannot, weird.

so, u got wat i mean! that was what i was trying to explain.

q5ii doesn't have enough memory for this, same problem it has with 1080p in popcorntime.
if u check in settings, assuming u have normal no. of popular apps installed, u r left with 200-500mb - too low.
u shud try this: specify the path to an external hdd, see if u get good results. i didn't with q5ii.
and i think the same will happen to any android with small memory.

q16 with 6gb available can handle it better. but there comes another problem - buffer stops when dwnld completes, as i explained in previous posts.
hence my poor solution - save it, playback saved file when the streaming buffer stops.

yeap, wanted to try with setting path to external hdd but this "script failure: xbmctorrent" make me vmad.gif
