Hi guys,

I am beginner to this XBMC/Kodi thing. Can you advise me on how what to purchase and how to setup the system?

Basically I have 1Mbps line. Will that be sufficient to stream movies?

So I understand I need to purchase this Raspberry Pi which cost around RM200?
But I notice this Pi when I search it is only like a circuit board? Will I need to purchase additional casing or?
Now some mention can use own keyboard and save money on the remote. But I think a home entertainment player with remote is much more convenient. So that remote could cost additional RM100 (if not read wrongly on older threads)? That is quite costly for remote.

So after I get this raspberry, I assume it will have the power adapter coming together rite. Then erm, what about cables? Do I need to purchase monitor cables (is the many pins type like PC?) or the cables come together? If additionally buy cable, I think will cost more again.
Same with audio cables? I assume same as PC audio cable?

So when monitor cable ready, I assume I can plug in to a TV or PC monitor, then erm I power on the PI? So what will be there? Does it have an OS ready? Then how do I install this XBMC? Do I need to download that (XBMC) from internet with my PC, save to USB then plug the USB into the Rasberry and boot it from there and install?

After that I understand from some threads still need to get additional plugins and so on.

Wow, quite a lot of steps. I wonder if I can get it done properly.

Any advises? What will be the final total cost like?
Additional things that not included with the PI which I assume right now is:
- casing
- monitor cables
- audio cables
- remote controls.
(Any others?)

One more thing is are there different models of Raspberry PI? Does all models include WiFi support? If many versions of the Pi, then what version do I get?
