QUOTE(chiahau @ Nov 16 2015, 03:31 PM) Compared to CB, this is so much more worth Gotta plan my spending a little but I think it's highly doable. Already submitted my application for VI but guess I need to cough up more money for them to approve Make sure you are getting the 2 Cards Premier which consists of VI and Amex Reserve and not just standalone VI as the standalone VI can only get you 2x TPs for the local spending and not 5x TPs.

QUOTE(alexchew_2020 @ Nov 16 2015, 08:14 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « [attachmentid=5316532] Total Debit last month is RM957.81 ---->3831 pts which is x4 only. 1493 treat pts not sure get from which one... i remember previous month is directly x5 from total spent Obviously like what Fruitie mentioned, mbb split 1x and 4x. Take 1493 - 535 and you would get 958 and this would be your 1x.

QUOTE(alexchew_2020 @ Nov 16 2015, 08:27 PM) 535 treat pts is another visa card. so which mean amex no longer 5xtreat pts. Huh? What are you talking about? I thought you said you spent RM957.81? It is clearly stated that 4X at 3831 (957.81 x 4). You earned 1493 TPs and you minus RM535 that you have spent with your Visa then you will get 958 TPs and this 958 TPs would be your 1x. QUOTE(terence_say @ Dec 11 2015, 08:46 AM) Continually spend 50k per month/ 600k per year Maybank will invite you to get their Maybank diamanté VI Even better than 2 card premier, if they dint sent you invitation you may call to ask, 600k annual spending is their diamanté invitation criteria. Care to share how do you know this criteria? You got this card through spending RM600k?

QUOTE(Brandon323 @ Dec 13 2015, 12:28 PM) Hmm..interested to know what you spend on for 35k/month? Is it personal/household monthly spending or do you use it to pay for all sorts of business/company expenses? Yes, I am also very curious. RM35k x 12 = RM420k, he will be getting 440k FFP miles in one year

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Dec 21 2015, 01:29 PM) I once remembered you require 180k to apply and now drop to 120k and also conditional approval if there's pledging will going to have lots of applicants for this card. Soon everyone will flock the card just like how the MBB 2 card platinum used to be. It started with RM240k back at 2011, MBB must be very desperate to get more sign ups for their VI.

QUOTE(Yippie123 @ Dec 21 2015, 03:42 PM) CX lounge is nothing special at all in KLIA If CX lounge is nothing special at all, I am afraid you will be equally disappointed with Flight Club as well. Based on Lounge Index review, CX lounge should be quite decent, http://loungeindex.com/Asia/Malaysia/KUL/C...ounge/index.htmI will check out this lounge on my next trip in January

QUOTE(corad @ Dec 22 2015, 09:56 AM) As *A Gold and OW Sapphire the only lounges I haven't been to in KLIA is Emirates & Flight Club. My personal favorite is the CX lounge. Mainly for the booze Food is pretty good too, depending on what time you go (Bfast or Dinner is when they have a full spread ... Lunch (1100-1600) and Evening ( 2000- 2300? ) is so-so ) It really depends what you're looking for in a lounge: food, powerpoints, guest access, showers etc MH lounges have been on a decline since 2013. Now even at KLIA (flagship) all booze has to be "ordered" ... even tinned beer , furniture is dirty and food choices rarely change apart from the monthly menu @ Noodle bar. Even then the food quality/taste is Just waiting for news on what the new MH-EK tie up is about May I know you got OW Sapphire through Malaysia Airlines or other OW carriers? My understanding is that I could use my Enrich Gold to enter CX Lounge in KLIA so long as I am flying with any OW alliances? Is it really true? I hate the Golden Lounge, think it is overrated, crowded and the washrooms are really world class

QUOTE(Yippie123 @ Dec 22 2015, 11:49 AM) Go Emerald and you will prefer Golden Lounge first side. Bro, I am not as rich as you. I haven't got the opportunity to access to their first class golden lounge. 100,000 Elite Miles or 130 Elite Sector to get Enrich Platinum is simply too out of reach

QUOTE(corad @ Dec 22 2015, 11:15 AM) yes, got my OW status with MH. CX allows you to bring a guest as well as long as they are also flying on a OW Carrier (doesn't have to be the same flight). If I have time/feeling bored, I'll usually lounge hop between MH Regional (just skip the MH Lounge at Satellite) , CX and PPL Yes, that's my understanding too. Last week I tried to access CX/QR/JL/QF lounge (operated by JAS Premier Lounge) in Jakarta with my Enrich Gold but was told that they are not collaborating with MH, ended up in Pura Indah Lounge again

QUOTE(Yippie123 @ Dec 23 2015, 05:44 PM) True, for frequent flyer, lounge is really needed for work and rest. Try to imagine you hv to work whenever you hv time in between. Nothing glamorous as frequent flyer honestly. And I never use any baggage tag. One trick for MH redemption tho. Z fares earn you status on CX... Redeem Z fares and change FFP by phone to MPO. Thanks for the trick, bro. Just to reconfirm, we should contact MH or CX to change the FFP? The good/ bad thing about MH is their inconsistency, my friend redeemed a Business Class ticket with EM and they still credit EM into her account despite it's a reward ticket. As a result, she got upgraded immediately to Enrich Silver
