i thought he just got them not too long ago?
*
IIRC, he wants black font instead, and I want the red font.

I could have bought the black one, deliver to him and he send me the red ones, but that looks unlikely at this point because the black one no stock.

Spent the weekend with my OEM profile keys... thought I won't miss my DSA keys. Start using my TKL and now I'm feeling more comfort with my DSA keys... Such is life.

Still dun get why a lot of people insist on getting MKBs with Macro...

Anyway, for all the sifu out there... how do you guys get used to the 60% layout? Keys I use most often are Esc, F2, F5 and F9 so I'm not really sure how to acclimatize to a 60% ish keyboard.

Numbers = Numbers
Shift+Numbers = Symbols
FN+Numbers = F1-F12

Isn't it very simple to use 60%? Why need bigger layout when small layout is this simple. laugh.gif

QUOTE(justnits @ Feb 24 2014, 11:20 AM)
i'm not a 60% user as well...but they will have to use the fn button heavily in order to use Esc and the Function rows.
*
Ok... but play doto I mapped a lot of stuff to the function row, that's why I was curious.

In the end, I might end up buying the leopold topre if diabolique doesn't wanna sell his caps.

So if I use 60%, then I need to make sure that those keys are easily accessed...

How much the price for Leopold topre?
*
Elitekeyboard lists at around 189 USD.

For the price i might end up with Type Heaven instead if the quality the same. I still prefer TKL for gaming, and I scared I like the switches so much that I sell all my old stock to fund topres.

Problem #2 is that Fn button always on right side, so need some gymnastics to do shit.

There is Happy Hacking brand too. laugh.gif
For such steep price for topre, you can considered RealForce and HHKB too. nod.gif
*
Yeah.

Ranges are from USD 189 all the way to about USD 280 for Topres.

Made in Japan what... quality stuff.

But the real reason why I was looking at the leopold 660c is because it might be cheap, and I want the cheapest topre for testing first.

Realforce TKL costs around USD 225 for the one I wanted (black on black, uniform 45g)

*
Only want Topre for now. Saving money, so by April should have enough to even buy a HHKB.

Esc, just press esc.

For F2, F5, F9 which I guess Dota 2, simply press with Fn key. Can use programmed mode or simply use win key as Fn. It's a lot easier than you think. Poker II for Dota 2, hell yeah I can play. biggrin.gif
*
I put a lot of autoexec stuff in the function rows. Like press F3, straight away finish current delivery then go back and send my stuff. Also got rune-check configs... and I use 123 for items, so can't change the keys there. I also use ~ for hero select, so I can't use that either...

Two choices:
- Adapt new layout until.
- Don't give a fcuk to 60% keyboard.

I'm not pro and I don't have a lot of options to set. I play for fun so I'm willing to adapt or change as long I can use an awesome keyboard. I use combination with alt, ctrl etc. And shifted to ZXCVBN. thumbup.gif You can forget 60%.
*
I just wannabe trihard onli. Last time MMOs also got a lot of shortcut keys, so I can play and communicate faster. ZXCVBN is hard to press because sometimes items need to respond fast if you're using defensive items.

264 USD with shipping

i myself also feel like getting it already, despite i dont like the black on blacks
*
Sounds good. Proceed to PM to discuss a bit? I don't mind other colours either.

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Feb 24 2014, 01:04 PM)
You need to be faster. Using thumb and index or third finger got no difference for me. That's why your finger need to be eveready. Just get Filco, 60% not for you...

I less serious in dota since I working, plus Dota community nowadays are sucks. A lot of futards and Dota is more hating, less gaming. I prefer LOL player than Dota because Dota player look down on other similar game, and they're totally rude. Chat in english, I'm chinese babi. Chat in malay, I'm malay babi. I said macha, I'm india flying spaghetti monster. I told I'm a Sarawakian bumiputera, they said Sarawakian leave on tree. Yes, play Dota on tree. doh.gif Everything is wrong with Dota player. doh.gif
*
It's more about the hand positioning. I have devised a way to play that is alright for 99% of the hero (except chencantress), so I am reluctant to change. I'm itching about Filco also, but since I have tried a cherry before, I wanna try out topre. It's about the experience here tongue.gif

Oh mai gorsh, I hate playing Dota nowadays unless with full 5-stack on my side. 4 carry picks no matter the MMR, so I'm forced to play some shitty no farm support, then got flamed for no farm no levels because team is too passive to fight... then random pinoy/viet/racist ruhtards who just know how to complain... buy the wards until cooldown still spam ">We need wards!" Ping get back then still push and feed, then complain why never help.

QUOTE(amirinz @ Feb 24 2014, 01:12 PM)
True that, usually I play Dota with a couple friends and some randoms guys, me being the the noobest, confirm kena maki summore with the random guys. So not fun to play like that, and not to mention playing with the mic on, complaining my KB(IBM model M), is too damn noisy. But I love that feeling anyway. Haha!
*
Oh I hate the real tryhards. I wannabe only, so I keep quiet and play.

Yup. Just get a cheap Filco then buy kobo Filco case from reseller.
http://www.diatec.co.jp/shop/kobo/  <-- Case design released by diatec Filco.
*
Case costs more than my keyboard.

Gonna do some sanding first, then gonna do some plastidip. Matte white surface, then put the new IMSTO on it. Hngggghhh

That price in Diatec is include the keyboard altogether. For casing need refer to Edifier and other reseller.
*
Nah. I'm gonna DIY this one.

On the other hand, does anyone know how to open up a KBT Oni?

Google is not helpful at all.

Like LED, like casing... Eventually, you guys will sien towards it.
Most importantly still the typing feel of the keyboard.

If you have deep pocket, of course you can change the casing, and LED too.
Typing is needs, casing and LED are wants.
*
Exactly. That's why I'm getting a cheap-ish good board with a different type of switch. Blues this time. Probably gonna end up being my home unit.

If I can put topre switches on a plate mounted ergo (is that even possible?) keyboard, with custom made mahogany wooden keys with carved legends and the case bound with leather, I'd still be looking for the next thing.
