BEST GPS Navigation Apps, for iPad?

Recently I've been thinking of buying a standalone GPS but it really cost a lot of money and the screen is stupidly small. So I decided to make my iPad (4th gen) a part time GPS Navigation device when I'm on the road (car holder come later). Besides Waze Social Navigation, is there any GPS Navigation apps that support iPad 4 resolution, less use of data(off9 if possible), has good support & updates, frequent map updates(especially for Malaysia & Singapore) and user friendly? Thank you

Can give PAPAGO a try. But the best solution would be Waze. I also buy the Garmin apps but the update is SLLOOWWWWW. PAPAGO is still acceptable but not as fast as Waze.

Try Sygic for Malaysia&SG, or Southeast Asia version. Both come with different pricing depending on personal preferences =)
I find it pretty good compare with Garmin/Papago, and YEs it works offline!

I've tried sygic, Waze and google navigation.
The best if still Waze. Why? Traffic info No other maps can top Waze maps in terms of accuracy and up to date. Fun Automated, knows when I go to work and return from work and when sending and fetching my daughter in school. Just brilliantly automated, loads up my route automatically. Wife can track my journey home and open the gate at the right time. Yeah I do need electric gate but Waze the next best option

Buang masa offline gps. 95 percent of the time when u drive u know the way. What u dono is the traffic condition. Offline gps don't give u traffic condition. Well actually they do but with a price. If u don't want to get data plan than u still living in the zaman batu. Data plan is like your phone extension not only for gps. Can Whatsapp, Skype, hangout, and a million more things that is so worth the price. Imagine someone Whatsapp me I have to wait till u reach home before I can answer. So leceh if no data plan

There are certain location/road that don't have 3G/HSDPA signals. So OFFLINE GPS Navi is really IMPORTANT.

In kampung? hardly also but i am sure some kampung in deep jungle don't have signal. so i respect that u may have that experience. so go for offline in this case. btw, i have sygic in case that situation happens, and for the last 2 years i only used sygic once.

When we go abroad for a few days, have internet only at hotel, and buying local sim card is not worthed. That is when you need offline gps.

If overseas, Google Maps. If local, like others, Waze.
Both can still work offline while navigating, but when searching for destination, you need internet.
There's a way to cache Waze's maps for offline using. Not sure how. Just imput something into the search bar.

And I saved the map for the whole city of my next destination. I installed 7ways also anyway. For backup.

in malaysia, i prefer using offline map.. i bought papago sg/my in promo price around rm48.. at least its work for me to travel around malaysia. yes, it wont get real traffic update, but able to get to the actual location u wish to go. waze its good. but i dont put data plan on ipad coz cut cost on myself.. only data plan on my phone.. but i wont open hotspot just for real time traffic use.. if worry about jam, then dont come out. coz while we are in traffic jam, u have no chance to run away.. still have to wait.. just be patient.. direction is the most important for me.. papago really suits me well.. search the road, POI, also may put as video recording and audio recording with apps.. just for last 15 minutes.. so be prepare around 1gb plus extra space for this recording if u wish to.. im always use it coz security purpose. any accident u have video as evident. u can found my name is Papago SG/MY HD version in app review there.. ppl complaints it lag.. it slowon typing only. in searching map and others should be instant result. https://itunes.apple.com/my/app/papago!...d396059845?mt=8This post has been edited by ChuanHong: Jun 1 2014, 11:45 PM

Ta Dang. Done. Use it as music player, navigation gps Papago I'm using. Advantages. Cheap, avoid from sunlight heat.
