for people saying this is a crap cam bla bla bla i can only suspect u sucks in photography><

Purple tint is definitely a let down, I'm blessed with a unit without the problem. This camera might not produce the best picture that packs lotsa punch but hey its a smartphone camera.

CHEKCLIST:
1. decent camera for social platform sharing. YES
2. fast application loading, fast shutter. YES
3. responsive white balance. YES
4. good lowlight performance. YES
5. average file size less than 2 MB,space saving. YES.
6. Impressive minimum focal distance for macro. YES

anyone else?

I would rather take this phone than 1020 that lags secs for every pictures taken><

+ 1000

I have the perfect camera on my HTC one since I bought it back in July 2013 and till now after the kikat update it still perfect..

To those who said HTC one is a sucky phone??? First of all.. F you ... Second of all. You clearly don't like the phone??? Third of all. Since you don't like the phone?? Why buy it at the first place?

Don't forget the HTC one won many gadget awards

I wonder if anyone knows how much would it cost to fix the camera purple tint issue, since my M7 warranty has already expired?
*
So fast expired?

It's the HTC one comes with 2 years warranty ?

Don't be so emotional
kitkat upgrade auto disable all write on ability to ext sdcard. My HTC one max same problem as HTC did not even bother to fix it. At least Samsung Note3 default app allow write onto ext card but most 3rd party apps unable to
this is Google kitkat restriction n up to manufacturer n app developer to fix such issues on phones with external sdcard
this phone htc1 doesn't have ext sdcard so no such issues. My HTC1 max however can write onto ext thumb drives through usbotg cable but not onto phone ext sdcard
*
My point is don't relate other phone problems to HTC one...

so i know why there is purple tint on camera already... it is

OVERHEAT. and affect on lens during 4.3 (maybe 4.2) era...that explain why early batch all got purple tint and why early photos of mine dont have that....

duh...

and i also hear my another colleague sent his HTC ONE X  to warranty and get back is anohter recon unit....not sure is true or not.
*
The overheat that cause purple tint issue on the HTC one was like last years news... Lol

Because HTC so bloody stupid and didn't put the NFC logo behind. Really no standard at all. mad.gif  vmad.gif
*
why do you need the logo ? LOL... how hard can it be to use the NFC on the HTC one ??

HTC failed to indicate the proper position of NFC. Some say below camera, others say next to camera and instruction say below the plastic strip. Seriously no standard at all. I migrated from Sony Xperia Z Ultra and indication of NFC is clearly marked.
*
LOL... i think this is personal preference issue

we can live without the logo

1st was the purple tint issue.
now the touchscreen is randomly touching itself.
my phone barely 2 days old.
i'm really impressed with the QC for a "flagship" model.
*
maybe something is actually touching your screen..

example water droplets

i've wiped the screen clean.
and it hasn't been close to any source of water at all.
yesterday there was a part of the touchscreen that wasn't responsive but it was solved with a restart.
now the touchscreen is randomly touching by itself.
*
restart again?
