If any of you have the wifi issue after upgrading to 4.4.2, i recommend you to lodge a complaint through HTC Malaysia FB compliant form.

Got a call from them just now, they are compiling all the complaints regarding the wifi.

So i guess a softer approach works eh. Instead of effing here. Oh well.

Yeah, they have a purple tint problem on their camera module. They accepted it, they change it. And yes, the camera is pretty decent for a handphone.

And you got a new replacement set from HTC (Sorry if Im wrong)

I disagree with your fact that HTC sucks just because of this purple tint camera problem. You got a problem with the service centre(which is appointed by HTC) - go complain to them. Not making noises here, where they cant even hear you.

Name a current phone model that is 100% perfect.

And suddenly i can connect to my WIFI again, after not using it for days. Didnt do any settings change, just automatically work again. Will test more and update all of you.

UPDATE: As scrub posted before this, apparently the change of wifi direct name works. I on and off wifi at first and cant seem to connect, but when i change the wifi direct name, the wifi is connected.

Just give it a try.

Hello, any of you still had the purplish pink problem even after sending for warranty service for the camera module?

Really pissed off with HTC Malaysia service. Make me wait for 8 months to get back my phone and when receive back the phone, the problem still there and probably got worst. Last time only at the edge now, full screen purplish pink.

Yeap 8 months. Kinda a long story.

July 2014: Send for warranty

November/Early December: Receive call to collect, not in KL. Asked to keep the device until Christmas

Xmas Week: Went to Times Square HTC Service Center, lady there say my phone not there maybe at new service centre at Lowyat or at PJ. Times Square gonna close shop in few days. I told them to locate it and deliver to my house, all agreed.

Jan/Feb 2015: No updates, Call every few days to ask, Get same answer every time.

End of March: Went to Lowyat Plaza service centre, still cant find my phone. Screw customer service and the service centre ppl. Same shit. Customer service said will give update in few days time. Then on 1st April, say 17th April will courier the phone to me.

After 17th April, no reply or updates from them. On 21st April, made a call and scold customer service and after that only they want to courier to my house.

23rd April: Receive the phone, ask my family to check. Still same shit problem and probably worst condition than before.

Anybody got cable with HTC kah?? Damn pissed off with their service performance. Wont recommend ppl to buy HTC even though i have used 2 HTC and its a darn good phone.

Well, I bought OnePlus just to cover for the inavailability of my M7 but i didnt expect it to be this long. I gave them ample of time to solve the issue. But, still same problem.

No point, tried on Twitter with two of their accounts, HTC Malaysia and HTC. Not a single reply. Dont mention Facebook, they have a record of not replying and deleting posts.

I even email to HTC US Customer Service, their reply was very professional --> We understand your problem and we appreciate your patience for this few months. As much as we would like to help you, we need this concern to go to the proper channel. You will need to contact HTC Malaysia and ask for the status of the repair.

The problem with email is that we are emailing to Customer Service and for Malaysia case, its a third party service hire, so their answer for your queries are all very structure and very political (All reading from a set of standard answer of what to reply).

For my case, i will always demand to speak to their Manager of the customer service.

And everytime i called them, i said i want to speak to HTC management to sort out my problem, it seems that my problem is not highlighted to HTC team.

And the best part is you are the one who is always making calls to them, instead of them as a customer service to serve you.

So, free up your time and spare a few minutes to rage over the phone. HAHA

Just dont buy HTC at all. Their after sales service and customer service is the worst. My phone with the camera purple tint is not solved. Its ONE year already.

They promised alot of things but its all empty cans.

Even a demand to speak to their Manager/Country Manager falls on deaf ears. Its a SHAME that they dont entertain customers request.

Best part is that they asked me to send the phone back to their service centre for a second diagnosis of the problem. Even a blind man can see that their camera is faulty (send first time way back in July 2014, came back end of april 2015, still same purple shit)

And the HTC Careline said that will expedite the service, but have to wait until August because waiting for parts. Parts cant fly from Taiwan kah?

DONT BUY HTC ANYMORE!!

That's right!!! All they say they will follow up and will expedite it. If want to expedite, you can do it in 2 days. This one expedite need 2 weeks.

Its like you are calling their customer service instead of they service you, you are actually working for them since they dont even have any updates, you are the one who is chasing them.

What a shame from HTC.

Time to boycott HTC.
