If they could give us Android 4.5 and Sense 6 it'll be great. M8 is not much of an upgrade, especially due to the lack of OIS. That really makes the camera crap.

What I'm trying to say here is that it's quite saddening for them to omit a key feature in M7, which was indeed a good selling point. I do agree with you that we all need to brush up on photography skills. Sadly enough for HTC, they needed to provide more & more to grab sales from other big giants such as Samsung. General populace will take a 13MP or 20MP shooter over the ultrapixel, and that's not helping HTC especially when there's no more OIS. Perhaps the dual camera setup may fancy some.

Is clearly labelled as S/N : HTxxxxxxxx just below the IMEI number

that means the phone was manufactured on 28th February,2013 in Hsinchu of Taiwan.

Just ask seller for the first 3 digits after HT/or SH and you will know the manufacturing date
Apparently Nov n after batch is free from this problem

Maybe he buy it in december, but is an old batch phone.
