Hi guys, my HTC one is currently suffered the purple tint issue while taking photo under low light environment. As far I read the post, it seems like I'm not the only one who suffered this. May I know by sending to HTC for repair, will it resolve the issue? Cause having purple tint is really annoying.... Can someone enlighten me? notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

You can skip of course and direct install the new OS but will the HTC ONE getting a new OS after KitKat? By the way, your set is perfect, right? Some forummers mentioned before that after the update, their set got the purple tint issues... hmm...
Yes. The purple tint issue can be resolve but be prepare to wait a very long time when you send it in to the HTC Service Center. They will said they will call you once ready but they will never do. You need to call them up.

Just got a phone call from the HTC Customer Service, said that my phone will be ready by 31st March 2014 (next Monday). From the date where I sent it, seems like roughly they take about 3 weeks to do the purple tint repair. Here's praying that the problem will be permanently gone. smile.gif

Do keep us an update whether it solved it or not. I'm going to send it for repair after I come back from SG.

I just call HTC service centre, and they said they will send someone to collect my HP next week. After repair, they will send it back to my home. Wow, not bad for HTC service. I don't think I can even get this kind of service from Samsung or Nokia.

According to my vendor who sold HTC phone, he said this one is definitely hardware issue, and after changing lenses, the purple tinted issue will be resolved.

Support team told me that it required one to two weeks to repair this. So.... still not so scary like one month. Good job HTC, though I really hate the "ultra" pixel thingy. But I will still support HTC. laugh.gif

I have sent in 3rd times 4 months ago and they never get the phone repair properly. I fed up and keep my phone with camera defect. They phone was stayed with them > 2 months ...

Believe it or not ... never listen to their promise.. unless you really really lucky guy.

Good luck!

So far quite a number of people here sent and get back the phone with no issue. Maybe yours are just an unlucky exception.
