The pathway to be a lecturer is not the same pathway to be a teacher.
You don't need to get a specialized degree in Education to be a lecturer.
First of all, which field are you interested in?
Say, if you are interested in psychology, then you need to have at least a Master's degree in Psychology and perhaps a doctoral degree in Psychology.

QUOTE(TheDuckster @ Feb 12 2014, 01:15 PM) i'm interested in biology. was thinking if a degree in biotech and masters in bioscience enterprise will still land me this job, since i'm more inclined to teach a more general pre-uni biology compared to undergraduate As long as you have a Master's or undergraduate degree in a similar field to biology, I'm pretty sure you can teach biology at the foundation level.
