Got it once last time..Saw an obgyn who gave me antifungal med.
sorry i forgot the name.. but the med is quite expensive and i only took it twice for a day then it's gone already

In the meantime, you can practice really good hygiene such as washing up everytime after you go toilet..then make sure u dry yourself well.

Don't stay too long in a hot / stuffy area because humidity makes it worst.
That's how i got mine last time

Personally think any gyne will do. I used to have a very bad vagina yeast infection (itchy and smelly) last time. Went to see gyne once and he prescripe some cream for me to use twice a day. I got better after finished the cream.

On side note, did you drink cold drinks frequently?

Fluconazole is one effective anti fungal medicine.

If fluconazole does not work, the doc might give you some other stronger -azole medications

you've gone to see the gyno every month? good grief I think you're overdoing it. A yeast infection is uncomfortable, but not necessarily a terrible thing unless you have the kind that is immune to remedies.

It has nothing to do with your diet, and more to do with your genital hygiene. Have you tried over the counter remedies? Otherwise, you should have been prescribed something for the infection.

You've been having it for a year? I can't imagine how uncomfortable it has been for you.

How is your lifestyle? How often do you shower? How do you clean your private area? What type of panties do you wear? Do you wear pantyliners? Do you wear tight pants/shorts?
Maybe you can google up on some of the habits to prevent yeast infection and change accordingly.

How is your lifestyle?
Previously, i will eat ice cream every week, now no longer touch ICE CREAM cry.gif

How often do you shower?
1-2 times/day

How do you clean your private area?
Doc advice not to use the vaginal cleaness product, oli normal water

What type of panties do you wear?
Now oli ah mah cotton panty

Do you wear tight pants/shorts?
No longer wear jean/ pant, all change to dress/ skirt nw

Erm.. i google up since last year.. i think i m the 5% of them who get the recurrence yeast infection..
Now i just try any product which they say useful for women..

I will u all know once i really get the remedy & cured from it^^
I believe that many woman hv the same problem like me

I will try not to think so much & relax myself^^

Thanks for all the concern..

If you're yeast infection is coming quite often, please to get a few doctors opinion on it. Curing the problem is of lesser importance than finding what is causing it in the first place IMO. Get the root cause, treat it and hope it doesn't come back anymore.

If you're looking for gynecologists in KL, you can try Gleneagles in Jalan Ampang or Universiti Malaya Hospital in Jalan Universiti. Both are good hospitals with reputable doctors.

Get well soon!

as in he didn't even prescribe antibiotics? I mean, I understand if you were going to be taking antibiotics for a prolonged period of time but to not even do that?

I think that's ridiculous. Clearly what he's telling you to do right now isn't working.
