If possible, I would suggest that you write a letter to the interviewer thanking him/her for his time and to reinforce your suitability for the position. Also, offer a means for them to contact you if they need more information..smile.gif

I make this a normal practice (unless one of them is your close friend, then exclude him). If possible, get their business cards after the interview to facilitate this. In the world of competitive interviews, every thing that can set you up front among the other candidates go a long way. icon_rolleyes.gif

sorry tumpang thread.

i have a situation here. company A offer me a job but yet to sign offer letter. Should sign it by next week dunno which day. BUT i might not get the offer from comapny A too due to certain reason.

then here come company B calling me for interview next week. I should said i prefer to work in company B than A but A is also a good company. But it is quite hard to pass comapny B interview and previously i had few interview with company B but not successful i think. this interview now is another department but also fall in my field.

so should i tell the truth to company B that i had offer from other company but i prefer to work with them and see wat is their response? the problem is i can't met with their interview time unless i take leave which i prefer not to.

thanks

IMO, you should not tell them anything regarding company A. IF they ask about any offers form other companies, just mention you have one waiting for you WITHOUT mentioning the company A's information. It is unprofessional for you to expose details about it. Moreover, they might take this opportunity to lower down your expected salary, possibly the lowest smile.gif . Since you said there are chances that you might not get the job from company A, then go for the interview (from company B) as usual and see how it goes. Do

yah, of course i won't tell them anything about company A, i just tell them i had offer from certain company.

but if company A ask meto sign offer letter, wouldn't it not so nice to reject company B interview after i had promise them i will go for interview?

and i also dunno want to waste my annual leave to go for interview or not, this is because i had waste quite much of leave for this company B interview.

You will ONLY tell when they ask you. It's okie to reject company B even if they offer you the job. They should understand and are prepared for this type of situation. They always have back-up/plan B smile.gif . It's up to you. If you think you stand a better chance in Company B, then go ahead for the interview.
