solo MMR is so hard ... playing with people who just pick carry and still they cant win. Who else have to be support when all of them picks carry.... then again if pick carry .. they too pick carry.. Solo ranking is totally fcuked up.. i think MMR does not let you play with the same bracket but mix bracket of highs and lows to balance the team fight.
