Hi all, May I asked here, I wanna some suggestion/opinion from you all about should I accept the offer to work at Huawei or not.

I have been through the interview directly from Huawei 2 times, everything fine. However, after verbally(via phone talk) I agree to accept the offer, then Huawei pass me to agent. This agent told me that I am not workin with their company, I am working for Huawei, this agent act as a payroll only. So my agreement is with agent to work with Huawei. Huawei agree to buyout me, and they add some term in the contract. I have no problem with that.

I have been offered for 1 year renewable contract. Better salary then what I get now. My scope of job is to develop a system for them, what can I say is that more on development applications and not on Networking or devices (which is the core of Huawei business).

I ask them I want a long term career, not a short term. They said that this contract is renewable. I just want to know anyone here experience this situation, is really Huawei will going to renew my contract after 1 year? I just want to make sure that my contract is renew. and I agree with Huawei can terminate my contract if mt performance is not meet their expectation, this is fine to me.

What I worry is, is Huawei will really continue my contact after 1 year.

Because currently I am permanent with my current company.

Any opinions/suggestions please.

Thanks in advance.

No one can tell if Huawei will continue your contract after 1 year.  But in general, if you do a good job, they will.  In fact, they might even offer you a permanent position.  There's always a risk with non-permanent contracts.  It is up to you to evaluate the risk vs. rewards.

Since I am doing a project in which it is not inline with the core of the Huawei business(Networking, DataComm, Telecommunication Devices, Antennas, etc..), Thus, I am afraid about that if the project is completed, the future, the rest of it?

At the end I must took a deep consideration in this... Highly possibility, I am going to accept this offer because of the better pay and other benefits.

When comes to $$$.... ahhhhhhh It seems I cant think anymore...

One of the biggest problem with being a contract staff with Huawei. No bonus payout, whereas Huawei is well known for its generous bonuses. If you can live with seeing your colleagues getting lucrative bonuses come bonus time while you get nothing, then go for it by all means.

Urmmm... Ok, Is it possible for Huawei absorb as permanent staff after 1 year if performance hit the target. Anyone experience been a contract for 1 year and then absorb as permanent?

Depends on your performance and department headcount availability. I guess the reason you're been outsourced is either because of headcount issues or you're a fresh grad. I once joined Huawei under contract terms and offered to be converted after my tenure ends, but I chose to join other company with better offer. So I guess one of the benefits of being a lease staff is the flexibility to look around nearing the end of the contract.

So you joined Huawei under contract right? May I know how is it the contract "Direct" under Huawei or you are under "Agent" work for Huawei. In my case, I was contract under "Agent", because agent act as my payroll, worked for Huawei. Huawei pay my salary through the "Agent" and then "Agent" deposit my salary to me. It is not directly Huawei pay to me... So the "Agent" is like proxy here. The agent is another company here. I research the company, the company is not recruiter company. The company provide support in networking devices for Huawei.

Sorry if I am wrong, it is quite suspicious when you say

to join other company with better offer
. It is because, as far as I know, Huawei is the big player company in communication field, and its salary comparatively is higher than other company in Malaysia. I was advised by my friends, told me that Huawei offered me is high enough, the only can beat is MNCs company like Microsoft, Google, Cisco, IBM, Dell, etc... Maybe you get other MNCs company...

And in my case also, I am not a fresh grad.
