the Helpdesk in Fujitsu is a different department from others Department. Which means u can't change to others department.

anyway, Fujitsu Helpdesk is good, time is flexible and nowadays is getting better and better since they are keep hiring people to avoid human resource shortage.

no harm joining as your first comp if you are fresh grad (i assume).

p/s : fyi, im currently working in Fujitsu Helpdesk as well smile.gif

@hazremi,

provide 1st and 2nd level support.

1st level - receive calls and log and escalate.

2nd level - dialed into customer pc remotely and perform troubleshooting.

@stevie-g

the difference btw helpdesk and service desk just the name of it. if im not mistaken, both of their job scope are similliar.

yes time is flexible for me, you can request to work for certain shift for certain day in advance. the manager will try to arrange for you.

i requested to work night shift for 2 and 1/2 months because i need to go for further study and they approved it. so i consider the time is very flexible

i got a job offer as analyst programmer from fujitsu cyberjaya. however the main work scope is to support their glovia ERP system using a language called proIV (pro-four). i googled around regarding this platform and unsurprisingly it is not widely implemented except for mainly european companies. im just afraid the market demand for this skill set is too niche so i am a bit hesitant to accept it.

u guys have any opinion regarding proIV?

working as software engineer in Fujitsu (M).
Learning environment..ermm depends on which dept r u in..just make sure u've done ur homework and discuss whatever u dont understand with ur colleagues ..u'll be alrite
As for system eng, u'll learn new technical stuff..depending on projects..sumtimes new things where u have to research thoroughly then u implement it along with ur supervisor / colleagues. sumtimes if u already know or master sumthin used in the project..ppl will acknowledge + come to u & ask for ur advice.
In the end, they train u to be a multi-talented person not only focus on a specific area.

As long u've done ur homework on proIV, u'll be ok..In fujitsu, they'll give u room to study & understand the system..but when the time comes..be prepared to answer any question about it. take the effort to ask seniors about it..they're really open & helpful

*
working environment = excellent, flexible working time (depends on dept), got pantry = free drinks, basement parking..so in all they expect u to work in a fast pace environment
benefits = medical, all sort of claims, optical n etc. differs btwn contract & permanent staff..u just gotta ask during interviews if ur keen on it
pay = not as high as american MNC / Oil&Gas..but above market value..for fresh grad that is

For starters..it's a great place to start work..its good to digest / accept just about anything thrown at u..u'll learn more that way
Just dont get confuse.. Fujitsu (M) =! AEMC =! Fujitsu Telco

lol. forgot to followup. i eventually accepted their offer tongue.gif well its my 2nd month alredi, so far the work scope is quite challenging, proIV is a biatch to master but quite powerful for rapid application development, im also doing some additional oracle and .NET programming.

benefit wise its pretty standard, a bit disappointed they dun offer travel allowance though sad.gif working environment is great, colleagues are very dedicated and helpful, very good team spirit (at least from what ive observed in my dept), which is a quality i admire very much. only thing is most of the ppl in my dept are all married... always hear them talking about their kids sweat.gif

lol. forgot to followup. i eventually accepted their offer tongue.gif well its my 2nd month alredi, so far the work scope is quite challenging, proIV is a biatch to master but quite powerful for rapid application development, im also doing some additional oracle and .NET programming.

benefit wise its pretty standard, a bit disappointed they dun offer travel allowance though sad.gif working environment is great, colleagues are very dedicated and helpful, very good team spirit (at least from what ive observed in my dept), which is a quality i admire very much. only thing is most of the ppl in my dept are all married... always hear them talking about their kids sweat.gif
*
Hi incognito,

My suggestion is for you to grow your skills and knowledge in .NET and Oracle. The demand for .NET or Oracle as compared to proIV is like 20:1 (guestimate) or more. Guess where the big bucks are?

You're employ base on KL, Cyberjaya or Kelana Jaya ? Coz different location might refer to different environment and project ... but the management might still be same.

Most of the companies in Cyberjaya offers allowance as it is far away from any residential areas. Unfortunately Fujitsu is not one of them. Moreover they did not perform well last financial year... there are a lot of rumours flying around in Fujitsu, according to my ex colleagues.

Besides, Fujitsu's president has been replaced just recently.

Position offered is for Global Support at Fujitsu Kelana Jaya.
They said, currently Global Support are managed by Aussie & NZ guys and will be brought over to Malaysia for some reasons.

Do you guys know where is Fujitsu office in Kelana Jaya.

Thank you.

Salary range from 2K-5K depending on your experience.
You will be put under 1 of 3 team managers, and 2 of them are really bad, and turnover is high.
If you have joined, hopefully you are with the "better" team.

Have not been in touch with my source there, will check if anything changed...
Basically, if you desparate for a job, then take it.
But watch out, offers for desk positions are on 2 yr contract. Get your facts before signing up.
Oh, I was told that no OT will be paid, just a replacement off day if you cover someone.
Also, many are required to work till way past their off hours.
So, they are not happy because they are sort of cheated, and hope the new managers can resolve.
The turn over is very high there.

Good luck.

For fresh grade basic RM1800 + transport RM250 + shift RM250 = RM2300
Service Desk Engineer is not like Call Center or Customer Service but it's Helpdesk. The project in KJ office now is Thomson Reuters, Shell, and British American Tobacco

Luckily i found this thread before i go to the interview tomorrow.

Happily hear the name Fujitsu yesterday, now happily know that i dont have to go all the way to Cyberjaya tomorrow.

Read the whole thread, I think Mesiniaga is better.

I was called for Junior Java Developer position.

No need to elaborate further. If you are following this forum since last year, the top management will always use the "taichi" technique to evade problems. But I am not sure how the company is performing right now. My former boss used to work there but resigned and joined my former company.
