800 buck for testing abit out of the story lol.
I'll go with the cheaper brembo for testing, if prove ok then baru change back ori pad.

Last week nearly hamkahchan coz the bloody brake suddenly macam no bite/ airy... lucky that time doing around 60km/h only else memang jialat and spend cny @ mortuary.

stock akebono brake pads are around the same level as EBC greens, cept more expensive and noisier/more brake dusts.

considering the weight of our car, i'd have more concerns on the tires (stock cc5 are absolutely shit) than brake pads. i can trigger the ABS very easily but the tires just gave up  doh.gif  doh.gif
shouldn't have anything to do with brake pads
*
Since ur car still new try roughly measure the pad thickness for me, mine around 5mm~6mm thick now. SC can't do a shit on my issue as it happen intermittently, getting slightly worse this month.

tires... stock cc5 con9lan7firm better then yoko Cd2. wet grip quite good, dry grip good. but pretty noisy after 20k.

Now i'm on yoko cd2, i can tell u those were shit. wet grip totally phailed.

the way we drive is different, i drive quite normally lol. my aftermarket pads didn't claim to have less brake dust.

who else has noticeable amounts of brake dust while using stock brake pads besides quazacolt?
*
me 1 year no scrub rim, use high pressure water spray spray kautim jor ... beats my old wira record ehehe, wira using proton pad, 3 month tarak scrub/wash, front rim macam kena dye with brown/ black stuff.

considering it's just brake fluid, wanna try outside shops? maybe can check out nestum place at jln ipoh if you're staying in KL.

although different car, my experience on cd2 is way better than cc5 except for wet grip as i never really speed much on wet with the new inspira.
cd 2 on the other hand had over 160-180km/h in wet/hard braking on both the iswara/nissan sentra (yes they both using cd2) and never gotten much aqua planing before.

that said, right now my iswara's cd2 is experiencing some aquaplaning above 110-120km/h as it's only 15-25% treads left sad.gif

dry grip easily cd2, i have better braking distance/stopping/control with the cd2 than the stock cc5 and this feedback is shared among everyone i know that experienced both tires.

NVH i still prefer cd2, although this is a bit hard to compare considering all 3 cars are rather different.
not to mention all 3 car tire sizes/thickness also different already.
and considering the cc5 are new while the cd2 on both cars are worn/aged a lot, it's pretty clear the cd2 wins.

ultimately will i go back to either tires? no.
i'll be moving up to something like advan db, or advan sport, or nitto invo, maybe even GY eagle f1 as2 for my daily ride wheels. or if i don't plan to keep 2 set of wheels (as housing space is running low) i'll just straight away go extreme tires.

it also depends if i can get an indoor parking (so my inspira will take over my iswara completely as daily ride) at my work place and from the looks of it, it seems like i won't be able to get one unless i'm willing to pay premium sad.gif
*
brand new cd2 with less then 200km.
On rainy day, doing around 100km/h @ highway, apply moderate brake as a "professional auntie" in front jam brake. I'm very sure I cant really feel grip from rear wheel. With cc5 the confidence is there, now on these cd2.. ish I kinda bola kecut when I travel north or KT via karak.

odo also 2k only, car 2 months or so, already got brown/black ish "coating" on the rims.
for the iswara, it takes about 3-5 months to get the same amount of brake dusts (during that period i only do regular wash and never bother with the wheels)
*
well for wheels, i don't really car, in fact i lost interest in detailing my car.. black car really annoying .. maximum 3 days kilat kilat after that look like shit liou.

eh bro, tolong see see ya brake pad, I would like to know the thickness of new pads.

thank you.

lol i also black car ma... ok geh if you have good products tongue.gif
my car still kilat kilat after a week lol.

which brake pad (front/rear?) you want me to check? maybe when i drop by workshop can inspect a bit lo

=edit=
could take a while since i don't particularly have anything to do/check? LOL

or maybe i get my car jack and just remove the wheels and see i can measure the thickness myself or not lol
*
I use meguirs stuff.. wax, clay, polish and some mocktail made from meg suff, ulti luquid wax, carnauba spray on and ultimate spray on. last probably 2 car wash then beading effect diminish liou.

oh no need take it out, you can roughly measure it, you should be able to see the pad thickness without taking out ya wheels.

tak kilat meh lol

ok much better if that's the case, but how i stick my ruler/measurement tape it oh? i agak agak very bad lol. maybe i try take picture show you would that do?
*
tak kilat bro, not as kilat as myvi ebony black, or solid black. tranquility black had too much metallic speck on it, black gloss not as deep as those solid black macam toyoda or honda mia or mybi black.

gua tested the same meg stuff on my bini and sis ebony black myvi's (3 year and 5 year), my lala kalah 9 street.

for the pad agak agak can liou. thumbup.gif

I think no matter what you do /use also useless for tranquility black due to the excessive metallic speck, filler only fill up minor swirl mark to enhance the slickness and glossiness but not the deepness in fact meg polish or liquid wax could act as an filler.

To get deep gloss, I believe the only answer is solid black. U try look at those solid black fake lala, honda, toyoda or merz, those black look so darn deep and mesmerizing hehehe

looks like a good 5+mm while maybe just less than a cm or so?

can see the edges of the rim getting covered in brake dust already despite i just detailed my car a week ago (which of course include rim cleaning)
