anyways got the suspensions (just lower arm/cross member) loosened/re-tightened, and the guy said he did some bending/banging/knocking/tightening on the exhaust heat shields/mountings... so hoping for the best the sound issue is solved

sound kind of harsh, i could hear some faint knocking sound not really sure, need sifu to verify. I'll try to upload my car idle sound on tube.

SC said usual because this car use timing chain
But sound is really harsh when revving, air filter box is okay.

Next service I will try better EO.

anyway, regarding the sound.. my 2.0 also sound like lorry liao.. last time was ok, but as it grows older, it sounds louder.. like gals fart..
during dating time, sound like tikus fart only.. now PEEET....

if sound loud when revving from inside the cabin with doors closed, it might be because of the getah is thinning or harden d.. so soundproof becomes bad..
mine also sound like tractor when revving.. if got motor beside when i rev, he sure terkencing abit..

tappet sudah berbunyi. lol just like gsr hahahaha
