i changed the tail lamp for 'eagle eyes' brand led lamp.
not long afterwards, engine check light warning pop up.
scared the shit out of me, as i thought it's due to SC overfilled my EO because that morning went for SC and they did overfill EO till 4.8liter lol.
quickly went to SC again to drain the extra EO and check the engine light, they ran the mitsu system DTS thingy but found no error.
later they conclude it's due the after-market tail lamp affecting some sensor or wiring.
so no fix unless i change back to ori lamp and the check engine light is on till now.
not sure if anyone encounter this issue before.
The
Resistance value of the LED rear lights are different from the Normal bulb rear lights..
The Check Engine light came on because the Etacs think there is something wrong with ur brakes .. because the resistance value different and whenever u press the brake it sense something wrong.. so it put on the Check engine light.. if u use the OBD2 reader u will get the error code something like brake switch error .
your car will just run in Limp mode if u leave it like that.
It might be very complicated .. but u just need to add a resistance to be almost identical to bulb resistance..
