if blood related i can accept lah but if non blood related . i find it annoying lah if u in my shoes how to response to that person i mean to say that i dont want u to call me abang / kakak ..

I get used to panggil others akak/bang already. But if a grown man call me abang first, I will call him bro. If very young girls/boys then I will call them dik.

At first I was like, excuse me kakak? I don't mind people call me by my name unless diff about 10 years then I'm ok if he or she calls me kakak. But, my senior told me since they (my housemates) are younger than you, it is appropriate to call you kakak. So fine, I have to deal with the fact that I'm getting older

Actually normally we sarawakians if setakat 5 years older we normally panggil nama only, but since in campus people come from different places, different lah level of hormatnya LOL, so even 1 year older pun panggil kakak oh no.
