Not surprised, it’s expected to cease anyway. Now all NJOI customers, old & new, are required to purchase HD Pack to continue watching AEC, CCTV-4, etc.



ICYMI, NJOI HD Pack now only offers 30-day access for RM15. 90-day, 120-day & 360-day options are no longer available.



Or you can get its newest pack, NJOI Family Pack for RM29.90/30 days. 43 channels in total as per below. CCM (SD Ch 321) is now only on this newest pack.

Free previews as well: Ch 396, 413, 414, 415 & 618 from now until Jan 31, 2024; and HITS NOW Ch 702 from Jan 10–Mar 31, 2024.



Astro Awani Ch 501 (HD) is now free to all NJOI users. Ch 531 is no more.

Ok, I got a confirmation from someone "reliable".

NJOI has quietly removed access to all the free 8 SD channels to all the older batch of NJOI boxes activated before 28 Apr 2021. Here are the list of affected 8 SD channels:

1. Astro Prima (CH125)
2. Astro Oasis (CH126)
3. Astro Vaanavil (CH261)
4. Celestial Classic Movies (CH321)
5. Astro AEC (CH346)
6. CCTV (CH375)
7. Astro Awani (CH531)
8. Astro Arena (CH831)

There's no such thing as "old batch" and "new batch" of NJOI customers anymore.
So, if you don't subscribe to any pack whatsoever, you'll only be getting the same 18 boring TV channels, and this applies to all NJOI boxes out there.
According to my reliable source, they've completed the removal of SD channels entitlement to all the old batch NJOI boxes on 18 January 2024.

Affected customers shall eligible to get a free 30 days access of NJOI Family Pack channels. After the 30 days, if you don't subscribe any NJOI Prepaid packs, then you'll only able to access to the same 18 boring TV channels again.

Reason they do this is to encourage those never paying customers to start paying (monetising existing customers). Objective is to increase revenue. Even if customers complain about removing those free 7-8 SD channels, there won't be any impact on them also, cuz it's just like you're "getting complaints from customers that enjoy your service for free without paying".

In conclusion, my personal advice to all NJOI boxes activated before 28 Apr 2021, enjoy the free 30 days Family Pack first. If interested to subscribe to Family Pack, go ahead. But if you don't want to pay, and you feel like your NJOI box is now a useless box that offers boring channels, instead of put in store room to collect dust or throwing it to the longkang, I suggest you can sell it as a secondhand/used NJOI box on online platforms such as Carousell or something.

Cuz new NJOI box (without satellite dish) costs around RM300+ includes installation. Since it is "not cheap", I'm sure there will be buyer who willing to get a secondhand box at a cheaper price, and then the buyer will find own ways to install the box.

Reminder: If the box is being powered off or having no satellite signal for more than few consecutive weeks, you will see "Wrong Smart Card" and then few minutes later becomes "We apologise for the service interruption" error message when you power on the box later on.
When this happens, you'll need to refresh smartcard. You can do it on My NJOI app or WhatsApp "REFRESH" to +60395438100.
