The reporter was definitely having a dig at young Lamps. Kudos to Redknapp and the other coach for defending him.
I guess the reporter must be smacking his head when Lamps finally blossomed in a Chelsea shirt.
This is one of Chelsea FC LYN threads' all-time favourite video, along with CL final. Should include in a mini video archive in first post. Maybe along with few other videos, any come to mind?
EDIT: Also Mou first press conference in Chelsea

Liverpool in 2nd place now, same point with Arsenal. They will be the most dangerous during the home stretch of the season as they have only one competition to play in. MC 6 points away with 2 games in hand, pressure on them as well, and they looking in good position for 2 cups.
Schurlle play really really well yesterday night... It's almost as if he is the main striker... all his run into the box is striker like... where as Torres really out of clue... the only thing he did right is the pass to Schurlle for the hattrick... Hazard turn on his power again... Matic and Ram is solid too... I blame Torres for Fulham's goal... he is marking Heitinga.... suddenly turned off... leading them snatch a goal... if not, it'll be another clean sheet for Cech... Torres oh Torres.... Ba is sharp.... link up a perfect 1-2 on the break... really exciting to watch....
Actually I would want our striker to play like Giroud. His link-up play is very good imo. He holds off CBs and give players around him space to attack. He is the focus point of attack but not the finishing point. And he does occasionally finish off moves too. He might not get the astronomical numbers, but he is just as important in attack.
But for now, Torres/Eto/Ba still have to play as striker. Playing Schrulle as striker or AM as false 9 will just reduce their opportunities on the ball and on the run.
Last night, Schurlle playe more like a striker than a winger... he always run into the box to receive balls from midfield... I think it works out fine as Torres was being marked all the time.... That is why it is crucial to have another supporting striker to help out... but Mou's system doesn't play two strikers... he builds from the back.... and Torres is not that type of striker that can hold his own ground and create goals.... this is where I think Ba is better than Torres... and also Eto'o.... although age had finally caught up with Eto'o.... Arsenal fans are crying for a better striker than Giroud.... Giroud is a good striker that link up plays and create chances for others... but at the current form of Arsenal, their midfielders are not known to score many goals compare to ours.... that is why there is a dipping of form currently for Arsenal... their scoring midfielders are either out on injuries or out of form lately...
1. If Schrulle or any AM play striker, they would be marked heavily too. 2. That's why we need a striker who IS our type. If you ask me, no need to get a striker that scores freely but does not play our style. We need an all-rounder. Strength, pace, good touch, intelligent movement and finishing. Lukaku is a excellent specimen. I'm actually looking forward to his return rather than a new signing. Single striker is still the way to go i feel. Maybe another player can play as 2nd striker to complement Lukaku when needed, Piazon perhaps?
If you guys realised, we never had strikers that score freely, I mean even Drogba during his hey days, he also are not scoring like what Suarez or V.Persie did in other clubs. It's our system, so even if we get a striker that score many goals at their current club, that doesn't mean that he will score equally much at Chelsea.
Yes, it is our system. But there's nothing wrong with that. We still won titles. But the strikers must be still be able to get in the score sheet regularly from that position, in addition to the link up role and such. Maybe around 15-20 league goals?
However credit to Ancelotti . Drogba won golden boot and we set goals record and points record. I hope his successes in his career won't just be written off as just big-money achievements.
To me, Lukaku still lack the great first touches and his movement aren't the best yet. But his winning traits are his mentality and work ethic, which could make up for the lacking with a bit of practice.
I don't fancy Giroud as he can be quite easily contained due to lack of mobility.
Agreeable points there. Another whom comes to mind is Lewandowski. He gets quite good numbers for a lone striker in 4-2-3-1 formation. He makes the best of the dynamism of the Dortmund side. He would be an "devastating" addition to an already talent-saturated and dynamic-reliant team that is FC Bayern.
For me, Hazard more like robben + passing ability. Hopefully this guy will stay with us forever and become one of the greats.
+ top of the league, yet no one talk bout being a champions here. Gotta love other clubthread for their optimism.
"This season? No I don't think so. We are trying to build a team that can challenge for the title in the future. Next season, we will fight for the title."
Not forgetting Mou didn't say a word during half time talk... I think that send a clear message to all the players to step up and kill the game... what an influence on the team... the young players we have currently can only improve if they follow Mou's tactic.... it will be beneficial to them more than ever to work with such a great manager....
He said "something" to the players for about 10-15seconds before walking away. Players don't want to mention what he said.

Forgive me for my slowness but I just watched the petr cech the movie vid. The build up was so emotional, with injury and the return. But the moment drogba ran towards cech after scoring the decisive pen, almost cried... In public
Btw talking about transfer rumors, are we set to sell luiz?to me he in CB quite bad but in DM he play well.any other opinion?
If we sell luiz, who gonna replace him?
If we keep Luiz, midfield settle edi. Just need CB, RB and LB. Iva and Azpi can play 2 positions so maybe just need 2 more in the defense, assuming take Luiz out of the equation
If sell Luiz then, probably need another first team DM. Probably along the likes of Matic. Cannot rely on Matic and Ramires for whole season. However MVG and Josh can be reassessed for first team possibility.
Strictly on value and footballing perspective, it's definitely valid. Good replacements can be found in defense and midfield.
But Luiz has a great personality and a crowd favourite. He brings an extra something when he plays and I like seeing that. He brings his own flavour to the game, the riskiness is part of that. I would be sad to see him go.
If only the way he play is as great as his personality. Sometimes when you watch him playing, especially at CB, it's like a ticking bomb....you don't know when he will make a mistake.
I think PL CB must play a bit different. Many pundits say if even the likes of Ramos and Pepe come to PL, will end up playing DM or b2b mid.
David Luiz in midfield is very good. He has all the neccessary attributes. He's qualities from CB at Benfica are "transferrable" to DM here. We are not a seller club, if a top club appreciates the talent we have, why shouldn't we makes use of it instead. inb4 Mata to United

nahh I will go and say that he will be one of the best and solid CB after WC.
quoted for reference. Not to prove you wrong though.. to remember this moment where Ichi called it, once again. Would be as happy as anyone if this is true
no worries, we got KDB and Mata to fill in the shoe. oh wait we don't
Willian-Oscar-Schurrlewwww
or
Salah-Willian-Shurrlewww
nakal
anyways i don't see Salah starting yet. Willian and Schrulle sure start. As for the 3rd spot, either Oscar or maybe Ramires play wide. I prefer the former, though, Ramires being the extra man have proven effective against attacking teams.
I'm aware this is most probably just a rumour that'll blow over in a few weeks, but 20m for Torres? Not too bad considering his age, but we'd have to overlook his remaining contract period and the purchase price. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...mmer-swoop.html
