For me,

Hazard = Robben (speed) + Joe Cole (skill). Hope he can recapture his goal scoring form. iinm, his last season in Lille, he scored a lot.

Matic = Yaya - his goals + Young Essien (his defensive quality and energetic performance box to box)

Where u guys get the sos for JM's half time talk 'it's ur s***, sort it out'? hmm.gif

and Good News for us.

Chelsea is officially FFP compliant, not among 76 clubs UEFA is investigating for possible violations.

Čech named Czech player of the year again

Published: Monday 3 March 2014, 23.00CET

Petr Čech said it is still not done after being named Czech footballer of the year for a seventh time, polling ahead of midfielders Tomáš Rosický and Vladimír Darida.

Chelsea FC goalkeeper Petr Čech has been voted Czech footballer of the year for a seventh time.

The 31-year-old finished ahead of Arsenal FC's Tomáš Rosický and SC Freiburg midfielder Vladimír Darida in the annual poll, and he says this means as much to him as the first in 2005. "It never gets boring regardless that it is for the first or seventh time," he said. "It is always appreciation of my work and further motivation especially as it comes from the people who follow football very closely.

"Apart of a few exceptions I kept my performances at the same high level. There were matches when I made mistakes, but not many," added Čech, also a recipient of the accolade in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. "I would like to warn those of you who might be bored and tempted to switch TV channels at the sight of me standing here again: I am going to try hard to win it again next season."

His tally of seven awards is already two more than the next most decorated player, another goalkeeper, Ivo Viktor. Čech collected the UEFA Europa League in 2013 and became only the second Czech player to reach a century of senior international caps. He has since moved on to 105, 13 adrift of record holder Karel Poborský.

West Bromwich Albion FC forward Matěj Vydra was named best young player while new Czech Republic boss Pavel Vrba, preparing for Wednesday's friendly against Norway, was named coach of the year for his continued success at FC Viktoria Plzeň.

Not that I dislike him - but I do question if he can play on like Edwin-VdS due to his head injury. If Cech can exceed what Van de Sar did at Manunited, he will really achieve Legendary status but that will also see Courtois definitely leavin'.
*
of cuz he can do it..he played equal or sometime better than VDS and that was before he was even 30.
I will pick him anyday over Courtois, plus if we consider FFP..Courtois resale value is very high.. laugh.gif

That Courtois value I don't doubt, AM should be more than happy to purchase him - already a regular at their side anyways laugh.gif
And I'd prefer him to be at AM if he were to be sold  wink.gif

Anyone here believe Cardiff will survive the drop? laugh.gif
*
yap..I prefer him at AM too.

Cardiff next 3 game is very tough..if they can pull a draw on one of them and focus to win 2 of their last 3 game..yes sure..but it gonna be tough as hell.. tongue.gif

Courtois somewhat grew vain. but probably his agent demands too much. but I say we should let him go atm but put buy back clause in the contract. AM surely will accept 'whatever it costs' to keep Courtois there.
*
' buy back clause ' and ' first option clause ' , the first one..if we want to buy him back and first option clause in case if other team bid him away from AM..we will be notice..and if we match the bid..we will get the first option to resign him.. blush.gif

QUOTE(chitchat @ Mar 4 2014, 06:51 PM)
No no, bring him back next season, to fight it out with CECH, if he no good then only sell, like KDB. I would be very sad if our very promising youngster was not even given a chance to at least prove themselves at CHELSEA, same for LUKAKU. If is not working i wish them all the best else where.
*
well I understand that..but If we bring them in and play..and they cant make it to the first team..their value will drop..heavily..we also need to consider that..we only discussed this possibilities because we believed that cech can go on for 6-8 more years.

all of us here prefer the loaned and youngster to break thru..and play for the first team..that will always be our priority.. smile.gif

i"ll always prefer white as away kit. Not a big fan of yellow+blue combo.

Not too sure on the segmented gradient on the home kit. Maybe if i saw a actual pic of the shirt instead of rendered pic, i might change my mind

yeap, white away kits are nicer than yellow ones laugh.gif
I have this season's home & away, didn't get the black kit (yet..) laugh.gif
*
come on...florescent yellow and green was the best...hahaha tongue.gif

lol. I spared a moment for Eddie..I just finished it..Its good interview and show us " Hazard " , Mourinho never ask him to defend, yet he still track back like nobody's business. I think this is why Mou love him. hahaha

Btw talking about transfer rumors, are we set to sell luiz?to me he in CB quite bad but in DM he play well.any other opinion? hmm.gif

If we sell luiz, who gonna replace him?
*
I still want him as CB, we tend to forget that he and Cahill formed a good understanding before this season..he rarely do anything stupid in the big game, but his type of defending is risky yet it open up play better than sitting defender. His quality as a mobile defender contributed to his success as DM this season.

this season, I prefer to see him as 3rd choice CB and 2nd choice DM.

you will see the best of him as CB this WC2014.

Quite true for some of ur opinion.to me i prefer we keep luiz because he can play 2 position,CB and DM.Luiz did had a good understanding with cahill and JT will probably leave us another 2-3 year.
*
I want us to keep him..unless a very big offer come in knocking on the door..because we can afford to lose him, MvG/McEachran and Zouma/Chalobah almost ready next season.

Zouma has been kicking ass in FM for years. I'm quite jelly that you guys got him, but i'm excited to see how he does.  Great capture nonetheless.
*
I never signed him in FM..huhu I always go for Craig Dawson..

well credit to our Director of Football Mr. Emenalo. He is the one that responsible for every signing since 2010 except Torres tongue.gif , that transfer was handled by Roman camp.

Can think of any promising RB young players on loan.

hmm.gif Hutchinson?
*
nope Hutchinson already 24 and barely play on loan..his injury always coming back to haunt him..

so far only Wallace and Todd Kane.. but Kalas can also play as RB.

Prepare to freak out: Hazard picked up a knock in the Belgium game

dem long article. took me a while to finish it.

some of my favourites.

“It’s impossible to make every player better,” he says. “With some I don’t succeed and with some I cannot improve. But – if I go player by player – my percentage of players who reach the best years and the best moments of their career with me is huge. Of course, there are a few where the connection was not good, because the personalities couldn’t find each other, or because I don’t enjoy working with them. But that percentage is minimal.”

“It’s not obsessive,” Mourinho corrects. “I think details are important: details make players better; details make the team better; details help to win. Of course, there are a few players in the world who by themselves can make a team look better than it is. But basically, football is about teams and teams are better if you care about the details. So, it’s not an obsession, my experience tells me that details can make a difference.”

This seems about right. When you canvas opinion on Mourinho, most English fans will tell you they hate him, but it often dissolves quickly into something more accurately defined as a grudging respect. If he turned up to manage their club, they wouldn’t close the door in his face.
