Not that I dislike him - but I do question if he can play on like Edwin-VdS due to his head injury. If Cech can exceed what Van de Sar did at Manunited, he will really achieve Legendary status but that will also see Courtois definitely leavin'.

of cuz he can do it..he played equal or sometime better than VDS and that was before he was even 30.
I will pick him anyday over Courtois, plus if we consider FFP..Courtois resale value is very high.. laugh.gif

That Courtois value I don't doubt, AM should be more than happy to purchase him - already a regular at their side anyways laugh.gif
And I'd prefer him to be at AM if he were to be sold wink.gif

Anyone here believe Cardiff will survive the drop? laugh.gif

Here

and Good News for us.

Chelsea is officially FFP compliant, not among 76 clubs UEFA is investigating for possible violations.

yap..I prefer him at AM too.

Cardiff next 3 game is very tough..if they can pull a draw on one of them and focus to win 2 of their last 3 game..yes sure..but it gonna be tough as hell.. tongue.gif

Just finished watching Petr Cech the movie. biggrin.gif

Tbh, after watching it, it make me feel that Courtois is indeed still young. How dare he demand 1st team action from Chelsea when we already have a legend GK?

I can foresee Cech having 7-8 more years in his playing career. Unless Cech wants to retire in his first football club which is Rennes. Then we can think of recalling Courtois. If not, i find it to hard to keep both of them at the same time.

Courtois somewhat grew vain. but probably his agent demands too much. but I say we should let him go atm but put buy back clause in the contract. AM surely will accept 'whatever it costs' to keep Courtois there.

' buy back clause ' and ' first option clause ' , the first one..if we want to buy him back and first option clause in case if other team bid him away from AM..we will be notice..and if we match the bid..we will get the first option to resign him.. blush.gif

No no, bring him back next season, to fight it out with CECH, if he no good then only sell, like KDB. I would be very sad if our very promising youngster was not even given a chance to at least prove themselves at CHELSEA, same for LUKAKU. If is not working i wish them all the best else where.

well I understand that..but If we bring them in and play..and they cant make it to the first team..their value will drop..heavily..we also need to consider that..we only discussed this possibilities because we believed that cech can go on for 6-8 more years.

all of us here prefer the loaned and youngster to break thru..and play for the first team..that will always be our priority.. smile.gif

Keeping a player that is so eager to play, but have to face the competition would only grow the player restless especially in the goalkeeping position where rotation is particularly rare. Courtois had great seasons in AM with no apparent competition, but in Chelsea he has to face the competition with one of the best goalkeepers in this generation? It is a no brainer decision to leave Chelsea when big names like Barcelona and Real Madrid are vying to find a world class goalkeeper. I'd say let him go next season if we are to keep Cech for the next 3-4 years. Besides, Cech is relatively young/at the peak of his career.

Another good example to let a young player go out to prove himself at another club would be Matic. Look at what he has become now. brows.gif

I watched the history of chelsea on the first page and I am really impressed with Jimmy Greaves. too bad he just stayed with chelsea for 2 seasons.

He scored thirteen hat-tricks, five goals and four goals on three occasions for Chelsea
