QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jul 17 2014, 04:11 PM) Like I've said, if you've been holding and enjoying the divvies, IF u really need to sell to raise cash, just rugi 1 tick/1 sen and take the Buyer's price lor right, small volumes, ok. but have seen days with zero volume, whole day buy-sell 2-3 ticks apart!! i will sell more of the mall reits before i sell this one!

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jul 23 2014, 09:52 AM) UOA yield way higher...KL prime location offices, what not to like? Also declare divvy this month ma good move, imo. of the 8 reits i invested in since 2 yrs ago, axis n uoa have been the best performers - axis for strong capital appr; uoa for stable price-high yield. can't say the same for the rest. dumped worst performers igb and ytl, bsd no more. now keeping 5 only, happy enough.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jul 24 2014, 09:35 AM) UOA woke up already i hope so. in the last 2 yrs, it has never crossed over 1.44 and never gone below 1.35! i actually think this is what a good reit should be - stable and narrow price range, >7% yield.

QUOTE(wankongyew @ Jul 30 2014, 10:15 AM) UOAREIT keeps going up too. At what point should I forget about the dividend and just sell it? uoa - unless my memory fails me, price has never breached 1.45 in the last 2 yrs. so, ok to sell now at 1.44 as it is likely to return to 1.40-1.41 or so ex-div. but then, this uoa is still giving good yield and consistently, why sell it unless u hv something better in mind...?

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Sep 4 2014, 06:32 PM) EPF buys 5% stake in UOA REITThe Employees Provident Fund Board (EPF) has emerged as a substantial shareholder of UOA Real Estate Investment Trust (UOA REIT), after buying some 21.21 million shares or a 5.01% direct stake in the latter. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, UOA REIT said the transaction was made in the open market on Tuesday (Sept 02). nice effect. last 1.5 yrs, always around 1.38-1.39. now 1.43-1.44. if epf n others continue to buy, 1.50 with 7% yield is very possible.

Sunway, Sunreit... positive news: QUOTE Sunway Bhd - Special DPS spin-off from IPO Sunway's proposal to relist its construction arm was a positive surprise. While the listing exercise would further unlock value, the main appeal is the potential special cash dividend distributable to existing Sunway shareholders. We estimate a base-case of 20-30 sen/share, which translates to an attractive yield of 6-9% excluding normal dividends. This will materialise in FY15 given the IPO timing of 2Q15. We estimate a 5-6% dilution to FY15-16 EPS arising from the almost halved stake in the list-co, but dilution to RNAV is largely offset by the proceeds raised. We raise our RNAV-based target price as we update for SunReit's market cap and land values (still based on a 20% discount). Maintain Add. The special cash dividend is the key catalyst.

QUOTE(elea88 @ Sep 25 2014, 10:10 AM) Bought 18 jul 2013 at 1.40 Bought 27 aug 2013 at 1.25 bought 20 JAN 2014 at 1.30 sold some on 21 Feb 2014 1.36 Sold half 24 sept 2014 1.45 Already key in to buy back for 1.40. If go higher will be selling off bal.... this is trading ler...! i always fail with this strategy - everytime i did that, the price either stays above buy price or below sell price for a long time... so, i stopped doing that. either sell all or sell nothing.

QUOTE(wodenus @ Nov 3 2014, 02:11 PM) Cool.. but you should, because NAV should include all costs involved in realizing your gains/losses. QUOTE(ShinG3e @ Nov 3 2014, 03:15 PM) using excelsheet to keep track? can... i hv my own worksheet with orig cost, transaction costs, fx effects, current sell price, incl dividends and bonus/rights shares. can make it as complicated as u want! for quick assessment, i think most trading platforms offer a "portfolio analysis" at the click of a mouse - a simple buy sell calc, where u stand today in terms of %, $... w/o transaction costs, w/o fx effects - becos they already have and keeing all that info. crude price still in free fall - now usd 63.5. commodities prices same trend. might go lower into next year, so say most reports. below foreign analysts' view how this will affect trade balance, bonds, rm... almost forgone conclusion about mgs yields and local reit prices in near future... QUOTE http://drdzul.com/2014/12/02/oil-price-dro...that-ya-please/Falling oil prices could also hurt the ringgit. Nomura’s Paracuelles said he has had a very cautious view of the Malaysian currency in recent months. “As a lot of foreign investors have exposure to the ringgit, and overseas investors make more than 50% of the total bond holders, I believe Malaysian policymakers will tread very carefully,” he said. “In an environment where the US Federal Reserve (Fed) is looking to normalise interest rates and the US dollar is strengthening, things could be bad for flows that are interest-rate sensitive,” the Nomura economist said. “Falling oil prices mean Malaysia’s current account surplus narrows further, and therefore there is a smaller buffer to counter capital outflows particularly if the Fed moves earlier than anticipated.” Weaker yen and quantitative easing in Japan are also playing major roles in Malaysia because Japan is a big importer of Malaysian commodities as well as other goods. Weaker yen makes it more expensive for Japan to buy those goods so there would be more pressure on the ringgit,” he argued.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 9 2014, 08:26 AM) So...u selling your REITs? been selling since a couple of months ago. given latest development, will sell more. we hv been saying trade surplus drive mgs yields which then drive reit prices and that is true. now we see that happening, things not looking good, incl the rm. i sell down now, wait 6-12 months, maybe go back in.
