This LEGO Movie and Happy Meal talk reminds me of a unique movie going experience with my dad many years ago. In fact, it was 1987.

My dad took me to watch the He-Man movie "Masters of the Universe" in one of the old theaters which I believe was either Paramount or Ruby in Petaling Jaya.

What made the experience even more awesome was that there was a booth selling Masters of the Universe toys and my dad bought me some action figures and also a "glow in the dark" and battery operated He-Man sword (which looked like a lightsaber!)

LEGO could've done something like this for the release of this movie. Set up a booth or stall and sell merchandise as joint promotion or something.

Good morning. Traffic back to crazy this morning.

Haven't seen "The Lego Movie" yet but seems it's doing very well. #1 in North American box office with USD $ 69.1 million.

Power to the AFOLs! tongue.gif

That is the stand for another toy line figure whereby there's no turning back as well once you step into it. HT is the acronym for it. whistling.gif

Yeah need add own hair..  tongue.gif

Even the wolverine, the mask looks so KO quality and design.. Haha..
LEGO one is from 1980s suit..

Custom one is from 1990s..
The custom is definitely more detailed..
*
I believe LEGO is Classic X-Men Cyclops while custom is based on Jim Lee's version from the 1990s.

Maybe start of a new trend - 80s theme. Target adults who were kids in the 80s and now have more "spending" power. If you're not in Malaysia that is tongue.gif

Ladies and gentlemen,

Get ready your wallets and bank accounts as the 2014 sets are about to invade at your friendly neighbourhood store. We already heard/seen about the movie sets in ISETAN.

Scouted this at Parkson 1U. Unfortunately, that's about it. Think in conjuction with the movie. No new sets spotted at AEON.

Sorry but I didn't really take note of the prices cause not that interested in the movie sets (haven't watched the movie yet either!)

Sharing is caring. thumbup.gif

I get the feeling LEGO will release the LEGO The Movie Batman vehicles in the next wave. Don't see a reason why they won't.

Plus it looks like my "prediction" also may come true, Justice League member with a Batman set. Probably Green Lantern is in another Batman set since the LED torch revealed and Martian Manhunter already coming in polybag form ... hmm.gif

What happened to all the Superhero sets in non Lego stores? Seems most scout reports show City and Movie sets only.

I need to make use of my vouchers!

Nice!

Just back from 1U, scout the 3 usual places (TRU, Parkson and AEON) and only Parkson has new 2014 City sets.
