Rule #1:
From now until the LAST DAY of the sale, if a game is on sale as a daily deal or flash deal, you can buy it. If it is only "on sale" through July 23, pass. Do not buy. Save your money (you may need it).

Rule #2:
Check each day for the daily deals, and monitor flash deals. As games come up that you want, you can get them. Just continue to exercise self control for games that are not a daily/flash deal.

Rule #3:
You can purchase the large packs, such as the THQ pack or Square-Enix/Eidos pack at any time if you wish. It is extremely unlikely that those bundles will be discounted any further, even though individual games in those packs may become daily deals. If you want a bundle, go for it. Lots of games, excellent price.

Rule #4:
On the LAST DAY of the sale, Steam traditionally makes its daily deals an encore of the most popular daily deals from the previous days. Go nuts. Buy everything you wanted. New games are almost never on the daily deals during the last day. At this point, it is safe to buy anything else you've been waiting on.

Rule #5:
If you miss a game from a daily deal, STILL DO NOT BUY IT until the last day. As I said, the final day often recaps previous days' daily deals, so there is still a chance the game you missed could come around as a daily deal again. Don't rush it. If it doesn't, you can still buy it at the standard sale price on the last day, and just be sad you missed the daily deal. Just remember that if you missed it on one day, it's not necessarily too late. Save money by keeping a cool head.

Not interested in game with monthly subscription. There are already a lot of subscription that need to be settle every month, namely electrical bill, unifi, water. Gaming also need subsciption? No way. That is why until now I still haven't pick up FF Reborn.

server, yes, steam is free, but it sells game, and by selling a game, it got covered up, likewise to appstore and playstore
personally, i don't mind paying for games if it is worthy to play, since it's only 15-20 usd

Bureau is turn-based or real-time?

I played the beta, pretty Average. It is not even worth $60 let alone $60 + $15. U better off playing Guildwar 2.

Unless ESO is free to play= it will be good
if it is a Pay to play like now = it is a overpriced JUNK (heck it is not just pay to play(P2P), it is P2P + DLC + collectors lol)

ESO is the best bug free elder scroll game, but it is also the worst elderscroll game. Stick with ur skyrim. Want Multiplayer = go play GuildWar 2

Graphics are actually much much better than vanilla skyrim. The textures are better. But combat and movement feels clunky most of the time.

The number 1 reason for the great bashing is due to the 15usd subs model. Im pretty sure if they didnt announce this, everyone would go to ends praising this as a new gamechanger MMO lol. They should of used GW2 model. sigh

after getting a new performance laptop lately, looking back at the massive backlog, I am ashamed.

It's  not easy to resell it cause you need to link your Humble Bundle account to redeem it (you can't re-regift it). Hence you either give your Humble Bundle account user/password or your Steam user/password. Both are a no-no to just earn a few bucks.

Edit: Oops, just noticed a typo. You cannot regift a gift hence making gifts almost impossible to resell unless you risk either your Humble Bundle or Steam credentials.

Yup. There's been a lot of giveaways in this thread, but I found that most won't even post that they got it. That's just plain rude.

Well, just put in SteamGifts LyN group giveaway and put a high CV. Then people would need to give stuff themselves before they can participate in it.
