Lets face it, there are many games out there that's been over shadowed by DotA. Sure, DotA is a great game but lets not forget about other flavours that makes Warcraft 3 so playable. Here's my list of other anternatives for those of you who got bored playing/getting pwned in DotA.
tower defence, the main rule of the game is to work to build towers as a team and not leak any creeps to thir goal. The last guard normally face the most pressure in all TD games especially when he's not effective in killing his share of creeps.

A simple Tower Defence map which grows onto me quite quickly. I liked this game because the difficulty adjust to the number of players, more players = more swarm of creeps to kill. Plus the way the maze is built gives the player enough time to siege the creeps.

build little and upgrade allot. the main rule of survival is not to mass towers as basic towers are weak and tower damage increases exponantionally so dose the creeps hp when level increases. normally i would start with 1 ice tower and 1 siege tower and keep upgrading them till level 5 when i'll start investing in a row of poison tower and then lvl3 air tower when reaches level 7.

What sets this game different from others is the bank tower that it offers. bank towers like HSBC will give 50% gold of the creep value per hit. and HSBC is a rappid firing tower which makes the player an instant thousandair in every wave.

Arena games is like quake 3 classic deathmatch but warcraft style.

Killzone is an arena map where two teams pit against each other. Unlike conventional arena games, you are required to press buttons to shoot, meaning, you neet to press "F" then click onto the nearest visible enemy. Need some time to get used to but don't worry as zion is full with noobs.

Battleships is very simple to play. just get s ship, and the load your ship with major weaponary. then pit out against each other in variuos naval combat strategies.

Same as battleships but this time on land. What sets this aside from battleships is the ability to repair at friendly outpost and the ability to summon field officers and other tank creeps (which is rarely practiced since most of the time it feed the enemy).
