QUOTE(zaidi @ Feb 26 2014, 02:31 PM) for screen off/sleep i prefer the hardware method, use magnetic cover as N5 has magnet sensor http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537839 QUOTE(djlah @ Feb 26 2014, 02:44 PM) for those haven't try SlimKat rom before, I found a youtube review from xda thread: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

How to flash the slimkat without adb or toolkit..
The instruction must wipe data also, so if the rom zip copied earlier will be deleted too. " In recovery make a full wipe as per these instructions: In TWRP choose advanced in wipe section and wipe dalvik cache, cache, system and data. " Can i just copy the zip to a reserved folder without being wiped? |

QUOTE(clon12 @ Feb 26 2014, 04:56 PM) data =/= storage just wipe normal, don't need to go advanced settings. the normal wipe in TWRP is enough for you to flash another ROM. QUOTE(djlah @ Feb 26 2014, 04:56 PM) I always in custom rom, so I usually dirty flash only (lazy Thanks both. 1. download slimkat zip from pc then transfer to phone 2. restart phone in recovery mode 3. flash slimkat zip, Gapps if newer, flash my fav kernel, flash moto x Dalvik+bionic library, then wipe dalvik/cache 4. reboot when all process done. if something went wrong, redo again from step 2 but add factory reset before flash. << hardly happen.... Trying now, paranoid mode on. Maybe the reason i chose PA earlier. About Dalvik+bionic library, not sure what it does but download first. QUOTE(Someonesim @ Feb 26 2014, 05:03 PM) Long time didnt do this advanced wipe, but if remember correctly, wiping data DOESNT erase your storage. That's mean your folder of music/photos/zip will be safe, as long it's not inside specific apps's folder. Alrite thanks This post has been edited by pokgaizai: Feb 26 2014, 05:10 PM |
