QUOTE(Hornet012 @ Jul 9 2006, 02:55 PM) Thanks for the advice.....I did some research and found out Kodak Z series quite nice....it has 10X zoom. Any comments ? http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jht..._requestid=9390If its just stationary products you're shooting, you will be working with close distances. A large zoom is unnecessary in my opinion; its not like you're shooting something a hundred metres away.

Quite frankly all you need is a simple compact camera. Any would do, I do need see optical quality as very important for your use, unless you are dealing with luxury goods and need to really impress potential customers with extremely high quality and detailed full page shots; more likely your catalogue would have several small pictures per page.

QUOTE(Hornet012 @ Jul 11 2006, 04:58 AM) Yup, Thats the idea. What my concern is.....will normal camera can shot nice picture on small objects ? I mean those 3 M.P with only 3x optical zoom ? Well, does it really matter? Will your catalogue be of high resolution to begin with?
