QUOTE(Hornet012 @ Jul 9 2006, 09:55 PM) Thanks for the advice.....I did some research and found out Kodak Z series quite nice....it has 10X zoom. Any comments ? http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jht..._requestid=9390I see. Well yeah, its going to be more expensive. If you're looking for super-zoom range, also consider the Panasonic FZ-7 and Canon POWERSHOT S3IS. Both these cams have 12X zoom instead.

A large zoom is unnecessary in my opinion; its not like you're shooting something a hundred metres away.

If for business, you seriusly need to consider better cameras that offer more functionality like the SLR or maybe Canon PowerShot S3IS or the PowerShot Pro models.

hmm....seems like all prefer canon but there are different model offered by u guys. I think better write down my usage on this camera. Product im taking mostly electrical & lightings. For example...large object like TV and spare parts.....some spare parts may as small as 20 cents. All picture taken will be used to create our product catalogue. Therefore, clear picture would be the priority. However, sometimes i will post picture on auction website (ebay, lelong) so large picture file would be a problem. Perhaps, u guys can provide some basic knowledge of digital camera for me. Thanks

Quite frankly all you need is a simple compact camera. Any would do, I do need see optical quality as very important for your use, unless you are dealing with luxury goods and need to really impress potential customers with extremely high quality and detailed full page shots; more likely your catalogue would have several small pictures per page.

Yes, there would be some good quality picture because sometimes i will take some picture for small wire. The picture need need to be clear enough to see the inside part of the wire.
