Is there any app you would recommend as a "must-have" to further augment the WP8 experience?

I'm quite new so not too sure what to download. I downloaded Facebook and also ConnectivityShortcuts.

Ok, will check that out.

Just wondering, why can't I find Skype in the WP Store?

Also, can some one explain the "Try" feature to me? Is it a demo, or the trail for the full version for a limited time?

It depends on the developer.

For games you only can reach certain levels.

For apps you can only create a limited amount of categories instead of unlimited.

Some call it unlimited trial, a trial which lets you test and use the app as you like, buy it if you willing to donate the money to the developer. smile.gif

Try App Social by Nokia, you will find some nice app recommendation list from all around the world.

I think there is nothing wrong with your phone.

I also can't find Facebook BETA from my phone.

But, I downloaded it from Windows Phone Store (from PC) instead.

From the link below, sign in using your Microsoft Account and add your device.

After that you can proceed to download (your phone will download it automatically) when you click "install" from your PC as long your phone is connected to the internet.

I'm actually wondering is there is any app in Windows market where I can view my files on phone BUT the files is at my computer? For example, I view my pictures at phone but the files are located at my computer.

In Android I use an app called Airstream (http://airstream.io/).

Thank you very much for your time. smile.gif

I'm using Plex for that purpose.

To set it up, you need to install the Plex Media Server software on your PC (Download link below) :
https://plex.tv/downloads

When you finished with the setup on your PC, you can browse the media on your PC on your WP through the Plex app on WP : https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/plex/9wzdncrfj3q8

Do note that the mobile app does have a paywall which will limit video playback for just a minute and photos will be watermarked unless you pay for the app (RM17.45). If you don't want to pay but still want to access your media without annoying paywall, you can access through the browser.

well for me I set One Drive as the default saving location for my pictures for both PC and Phone. That is of course for the pictures use case you provided. Handy if you are outside and want to show people some of your photos. I never find a need to use the phone back home when the PC is readily available so can't really recommend you an app for that.
