HyperMemory is a passive feature on some lower end cards that allows the GPU to utilize your system's RAM. They typically have a small VRAM strapped to the card, but will hijack system RAM should the need arises. This feature is also available to discrete graphic cards. To date, some cards like HD 6670 (Sapphire) still has this HyperMemory feature.

R9 290 Tri-X OC

Attached Image

High ASIC card but can't do 1250/1255 on the core, artifact. 1200 core works great, need to see what is the max between 1200-1250 incrementally.

Memory no sweat on 1500.

Leaderboards updated rclxm9.gif

Sorry for the late update, just installed Windows 8.1, not really use to the metro mumbo jumbo.

Anyway, I managed to OC a wee bit:

Nope bro, don't think stock voltage will allow 1200/1500 biggrin.gif

voltage offset and power limit sliders to full in Sapphire Trixx utility.

Nice info, thanks! Btw, what are the max temps you're getting (with / without OC)? Do you use custom fan profile?

I am getting roughly max 79 - 81C at default fan profile (auto), ambient roughly ~ 30C. I noticed the Tri-X dumps a lot of thermal waste (heat) back into the casing. CPU temps all also go up. Too bad the R9 290 blower (aka reference cooler) really sucks, else it would have served a much better purpose, especially if our casing don't have good airflow. sweat.gif
