Hey fellow symbian s60 users. Im using a nokia n82.
Ive encountered a problem where i cant install nokemote (heard of it? its an app for n95 & n82 tht utilizes the accelerometer thts built in).
nokmote is an unsigned app available anywhere in the net. i signed it with the help from my friend. now whenever i try installing it, the phone reads this error: "unable to install. constraint by the certificate".
any idea whats the matter fellow sifus?

You sign it correctly, successful?

Go to APP MANAGER > Option > Software Installation > All.

ok, the problem seems to be like IMEI problem, request a new certificate with the correct IMEI from symbian signed and I am sure that will solve the problem. Try it!

Sign means adding a certificate to the installer that match your phone's imei so your phone can recognize the installer. This can reduce the chance of user to use warez application and risk of infecting by virus.

Signing need to request certificate. You need an account in symbiansigned but cannot use public mail. No RISK!

No way to install without signed. Depends on certain installer, some need some doesnt!

Use warez can, symbiansigned cannot detect them. But some warez is signed for all phone and some are not.

Who said they dont accept?

at symbiansigned, u get a cert based on ur imei only...
after that, u can use the cert to sign (so far) all programs.

Nop there is not CCleaner type of software for symbian, sometimes there is log or cache left behind but not all software has...

All I can say is format your phone and memory card every a few months if you want to keep them clean. But I wont do that, I will have to reinstall everything when I update my firmware as everything in phone is wiped off, so I will delete all the system folder in my memory card like system, sys, etc then reinstall everything. It works out like format without affecting the video and songs wink.gif

Yes you can use unmake sis also , I would like to recomend you to use it too but I'm not sure if you know how to use it.

Basically it is like opening up the installer and look at which directory the files are being installed into.

However some log files and caches is created after you use the software and unmakesis wont show that, as it only show what is in the installer. So no point using that also. But some program includes plugins or some files that stay inside your phone memory or memory card even if you uninstalled it. You can always double check it, by reopening the installer with unmake sis, then see if there is any left over by using a card reader to search them one by one. I do that last time in my 6600 and i don install as I straight away extract the installer and copy to memory card directly. But I dont do that in my N73 now.

Unmake sis is old , they dont support sisx.

I use SISxplorer instead wink.gif
