.......
It's look like the expert need to show his face liow, which is me, muahahahahhaa~!!! Ok, enuf joking. 1st, there's no different between removing mmc or not when we formatting, the memory card is not affected by the formatting process. 2nd, the REAL formatting process is executed by the 3green*power key combination, not 7780 or 7370, as both merely restore yout phone to factory SETTING, not FILES. You cant clear comwarrior virus by 7780 or 7370 but 3green*power can, coz it rewrite the phone's flash storage with ROM. Your mmc is locked by a password BEFORE u format it. Once u restore factory setting or format the phone, the phone 'forgets' the password so it prompt you for password to open the content in the memory card. The phone remember your password by a file called 'mmcstore', but the file wiped out if u restore factory setting or format. Why your memory card for password in the 1st place? 3 possible situation: - Maybe you set jor for long time already but forgot that u have set it. - Your friend played with your phone, set jor also dunno. - Dem greedy phone seller set password to the memory card so that everytime your phone got problem, u will need to refer back to them, and they will tell u - "See, only our shop can fix your problem, other shop terus tell u buy new card lo, they wan untung u ma..." If u wanna get your memory card unlocked (formated also), plz PM me, it can be done in 5 minutes at RM10. Memory card reader that claim to unlock your card can take up to 1 hour for a 1GB card to do it's job, even it can really do it's job. This post has been edited by Pip_X: Aug 10 2006, 06:40 PM |

The phone remember the password, and it wont ask for password unless u go to Memory->Option->Remove Password.
Hence, u assume the memory card got no password. Then the seller format his phone to clear his stuff, the 'password memory' got cleared as well, so the phone ask for password once it restarted. It's happen to many ppl, u not the 1st. |
