i have question regarding the 4gb and 2gb difference on gtx 860m

for what i understand the difference is that the ability to support 4k monitor. am i right?
but i dont understand how it affect gaming..

so can anyone explain the bottom line of whats good and bad about the 4gb compare to 2gb.. thanks!!
