Just bought the Acer Nitro V15 yesterday with added warranty. So far its okay though I haven't tested its true power yet. Only one concern - the touchpad creates that hollow noise when you tap on it. Kinda gets me and I only realised this flaw when I first set it up.

Very interested in this model but very hard to come by here in alor setar. Every reviews I've seen people complaining bout the touch pad. How much did u pay for it plus how many years extended warranty?

The touch pad just creates that hollow sound when your finger exerts pressure on it but apparently this is common among many laptops (or with Acers at least). However it still works fine and does what it's supposed to do.

Altogether the damage: RM3399 (comes with 1 year warranty) + RM298 for Supercare 2 (Add on 2-year warranty)

Forgot to ask.. What comes together with the original package? And.. What type of bag did they give u? Any Free gifts? I.e gaming mouse etc

Just ordered the the nitro v15 just now at PC Depot. They say I'll be able to collect it this Tuesday. Hope I don't get a lemon.. Touch many2 wood.

RM3399.00. I'll upgrade the warranty when I receive my unit. Another rm259 for 2 additional years. Rm300++ if wanna upgrade to 5 years from PC depot. Wasn't too clear bout that option yet but will enquire further when I get my unit.

tq. already read those. the laptop itself is superb (just few imperfection here and there, but still bearable)  thumbup.gif

what imperfection? do share.

Got mine today and i do agree with most reviewers that the touch pad is not very good. I find that it lacks accuracy and the left/right click buttons' tactile response felt "cheap"..but im slowly getting used to it. No problem with wifi reception whatsoever...Full bars...but of course my modem is just one room away. biggrin.gif

Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase..thus far.

Lol..half a year...too long. You'll end up not buying anything coz there will always be newer, better models to choose from. I made my decision in approximately 3 weeks. JUST BUY IT..LOL

U are probably bad luck. Most reviews gave good points for their v15 nitro. At least u got rma for it. Support for acer is good lately, better than asus imo. Just enjoy ur new unit bro smile.gif

Yup..I agree that its a very good laptop. Rave reviews and all...i should know..i did my research before buying it. Very happy with my purchase, just bad luck i guess. Acer does not have an exceptional rep when it comes to QC anyway and got to say that i kind of expected it even. PC Depot Alor Setar was good though..very friendly and they helped and got me a new unit as replacement from ACER.

I gotta admit that my first choice was the ASUS G551 but after reading about their RMA issues here, i went with the Nitro. Better performance/price ratio and after this experience, i have to say...so far so good when it comes to after sales services. I'm Just happy to get my laptop back.

Yeah asus lappy has good thermal designs but their after sales service is kinda bad. What a shame. What we laptop owners need is after sales service and support.
Sometimes is not just the shop u buy from, its also the service centre to communicate with the shop u purchase from and facilitate smoother RMA process.

Just an example: i bought a steelseries headset and razer ouroboros from a same shop. Unfortunately my luck is bad and the headset has wiring issues and the mouse has loose RMB. Got RMA for both but steelseries settle my issue in 6days and it took razer 3weeks. Says alot eh?

P/s: enjoy ur nitro bro and merry christmas smile.gif

Lol yeah..just in time for Xmas

Looks good. Just make sure its from a reputable seller.

I just ordered an Everki laptop bag from lazada a few days ago...rm129. Received my package this morning..and got a rm25 china bag instead. Infuriating. I've made my complain and lets see how they settle this tomorrow. Im still mad btw. shakehead.gif
