Ok guys. I have the G551-053 and I have a serious question. What is your total partition space in the laptop? When I open up This PC (formerly known as Computer/My Computer in older OS back in the day), it shows 372GB for C drive and 537GB for D drive. Well as you know this model is 1TB. And I know enough that 1024GB = 1TB. So may I know if any fellow Asus owners of this model have this amount of space or am I bamboozled out of my money?
The only explanation I can think of is that part of the GBs went into the OS and they don't include that in the calculation of the total space when viewed in This PC.
Any ideas?
Manufacturers are using 1,000,000,000,000 bytes as approximation of 1TB. To find the actual physical size in TB, you have to divide that figure by 1024*1024*1024*1024. That's ~909GB; exactly your total size. The only explanation I can think of is that part of the GBs went into the OS and they don't include that in the calculation of the total space when viewed in This PC.
Any ideas?
