Lenovo does not have a GTX 880M laptop. sleep.gif
Also it's impossible for a laptop to have GTX 880M in that price range, impossible.

Apparently it was a pricing error. But what I saw was right, USD1349 or something for a GTX880M biggrin.gif

Cheapest one is RM7299  moneyflies.gif

7299 is cheapest for MSI....Not applicable for Illegear whistling.gif

sweat.gif For that price better build a great custom rig
*
Lol you can't compare it that way... People buy a gaming notebooks for its portability, if desktops can be as portable as a laptop then no one would buy a laptop anymore...

For sure can't compare that way. Me, myself bought Y50 for portability. My works is mobile, so I can't have a gaming desktop sitting there waiting for me to play. My point is, if I have that huge amount of money, I would rather buy a rig for SATISFACTION of gaming. For Gaming laptop, just get best bang for the bucks should be ok already
*
I guess it also depend on how serious you are in gaming.

As for me I'm a casual gamer, a RM3k gaming grade laptop should suffice while I'm on the go but I have a proper gaming rig when I get back home.

Honestly, I won't spend RM9k on a desktop, kinda overkill already lol. Probably 5k on desktop GTX970 rig, which is good enough for me, and a good 1440p monitor because 4k is so hard to drive and a good pair of speakers haha tongue.gif

guys im having the exact situation now on choosing either one model. I have used both asus and acer. But i felt like acer their gaming performance was not good this was few years ago but now i dont know. Can anyone enlighten me? Both having same price and the only difference is RAM which is asus giving 4GB and acer providing 12GB.
*
I'd go for the ACER knowing that ASUS' after sales service reputation is atrocious in Malaysia.

but how about design and performance?
*
Design is subjective. Gaming performance should be similar, no?

Unless the video Ram of either 2GB or 4GB is going to make a significant difference..

Another factor to consider is the cooling performance vs number of fans/speed

QUOTE(blaze91 @ Oct 30 2014, 12:46 AM)
and also guys i just got to know MSI GE60 2PE-293MY Apache Pro is having similar spect and also price same. Do suggest me on among this  models....looking forward for reply.

As far as I know, the GE series are not well known for their cooling performance, same goes to the GS series.

Remember, thinner is always not better in regards to good thermal performance..

Thanks for the input mate.
Unless something drastic happens or someone says something to change my mind, I will settle on ASUS it seems.

Asus latest product guide~

Seems like a real beast as usual ASUS ROG stuff are always more expensive than Illegear. I estimate around RM7-8k while Illegear has a GTX970M machine at RM6199 only wink.gif
